Wanted a cheap play saddle and I was amazed at the result. Great fit for both my horse and I and it was a great price.

I've been searching high and low for a saddle that fits my 15.2 Appendix. Finally found it! I hadn't thought I'd look at synthetic saddles but I am very pleased with this one. Can't beat the price and the quality appears very good. I'm a convert - no more leather conditioner!

CHANNEL WIDTH FROM FRONT TO BACK IN INCHES?
A shopper on Jan 19, 2015
Best Answer: This saddle drop ships directly from the Manufacturer. Unfortunately they were not able to provide this information since they currently do not have the saddle in stock and don't expect it to be available until April 2015.

what is gullet measurement difference between medium and wide?
A shopper on Dec 7, 2014
Best Answer: I was wondering the same thing when I purchased this saddle. I ended up ordering the wide and it had about a 4" gullet, but the tree was too wide for by TB so I returned it. I had several calls in to get information on this saddle with no luck. I have a feeling the gullet would not really change between the wide and the medium, only the angle of the tree. Good luck!

would 17 medium fit my 16 hand Quarab?
A shopper on Jan 18, 2016
Best Answer: saddle fitting is difficult as alot of brands fit differently. However, after a BIG search and trial and error, this saddle finally fit my 15.1hh Thouroughbred/Qtr. mix (we aren't sure of his breed - that's my vet's guess). The best advice is to measure your horses withers at the area where the saddle will fall behind his shoulder with a stiff type wire (or coat hanger), then trace it onto a cardboard for tracing. Measure two inches down from the highest point on the tracing, then measure across for the gullet width you will need. I believe Kincade/stateline tack has a return policy so if it doesn't fit you may return it. Hope that helps. I LOVE this saddle. Using it virtually every day!

How do I know what size tree and saddle do I get for my 12 year old American quarter horse she's bout 15.5hands tall and has a short wide dack?
A shopper on Jan 12, 2015
Best Answer: Unfortunately, without actually seeing your animal, I could not say what tree width would be most appropriate.
I would have to recommend getting a professional saddle fitter to fit your animal.
Also, another good alternative would be a saddle with an adjustable gullet system such as a Wintec All Purpose.
There are several models in the Wintec AP to fit your needs.

What is the deal with the synch, stirrups, etc. Does this saddle come with all of that or will I have to buy that stuff separately? If I have to buy it separately what is EVERYTHING I will need to make this saddle complete? I don't really get what it all comes with. I've read great reviews on this saddle! :)
GracieAnne on Sep 26, 2014
Best Answer: Hi Gracie,

I ordered this saddle and it is just the saddle. You still need to buy: 1)stirrup leathers 2) stirrup irons 3) a girth. I actually returned the saddle because the seat of the saddle seemed very small and because where the stirrup leathers attached was very hard to slide them in. But overall I like the kincade synthetic saddles, but I'd recommend getting a little higher end one than this one.

Is the wide really wide or not that wide?
A shopper on Jun 15, 2015
Best Answer: Yes, it is really a wide. As a matter of fact, it was too wide for my horse. I highly suggest you have your horse measured by a fitter first.

What breed/sizes have you used this on. I have a high shouldered morab 15.2 gelding who is hard to fit?
Jennifer G on Apr 4, 2014
Best Answer: Because it is wide and a cutback, I find this saddle works really well on the hard to fit horses I ride. I've used it on an appaloosa, thoroughbred, morgan x standardbred, quarter horse and tennessee walkers. They are all between 15.2 and 17.3.

Some horses need a half pad to tweak the fit a little, but this is my go-to saddle that fits most.

I have a 15.3 QH mare that has normal withers what seat size would you recommend?
A shopper on Jan 30, 2016
Best Answer: The seat size is for the rider. The medium or wide tree is the measurement concerned with fitting the horse.

I saw it didn't come with stirrups, so how do I attach new leathers and irons?
A shopper on Jan 18, 2016
Best Answer: Put the irons onto the leathers first, then slide one thickness of the looped assembly onto the stirrup bar from the rear.
The buckle needs to hang on the front of the loop so, when you pull down on the back of the loop, it draws the buckle up to rest against the stirrup bar. Excess leather length tucks into the raised slot at the back of the flap.

I saw it didn't come with stirrups, so how do I attach new stirrups? And do you think this saddle is worth the money?

Kincade is made by Weatherbeeta, if that helps you decide the worth of this saddle.

Should I get this saddle as a starter for my horse?
A shopper on Jun 15, 2015
Best Answer: Thanks for the question!
This is an excellent choice for a starter saddle.
However, this saddle has a wide tree - you may want to make sure that this is an appropriate width for you horse.
Saddle fit is extremely important to your animals health and can affect performance if fitted incorrectly.
Wintec saddles are also an affordable starter option and come with a changeable gullet system; this system allows you to change the width of the saddle as your horse changes or if you get another animal.
Take a peek at the Wintec 250 All Purpose as well before making a decision.
Hope that helps!
