Why did you choose this?
will an 11' fit ok on a minature hore??
Best Answer: Not if its a smaller mini. Would work excellent on a welsh pony size. They do come wide. Wider than i expected. I had to return because it was to wide for my arabian. The 10 would probably be better but seat is for child
how do the western seat sizes equate to english seat sizes?
Best Answer: A lot of the time western saddle sizes end up being 2 inches smaller. So if you bought this in a 16" it would be approximate to an English size 18.
Western 14 .... English 16 Western 15 .... English 17 Western 16 .... English 18 Western 17 .... English 19 Hope that helps! Also for future reference Australian saddles are sized the same as English :)
How much does a 15" saddle weight?
Best Answer: Every saddle weighs a different weight, depending what material it is made of. My old heavy duty western with wooden tree and real leather weighs alot more than my new, Wintec saddle!
Will a 16-17" fit a draft horse?
Best Answer: You are referring to the seat size, which has nothing to do with saddle tree size. When choosing a saddle, one has to select the seat size appropriate for the rider, and a saddle tree width appropriate for the horse's back. One other consideration is the length of the saddle as a whole in relation to the horse's back length. I have no experience fitting a draft horse for a saddle, but the method that is helpful in determining what size tree a particular horse needs is the same no matter the size of the horse. There are templates online one may print and use thin wood or thick cardboard to cut to the shape and size of the various tree sizes. There is also a method where a person takes pieces of wire and places each one on the horse's back in different places and then checks the fit of a saddle by turning the saddle upside down and placing those wires on the saddle in various places to see whether the angles match. There are also saddles meant for draft horses. You could do a search for them. This particular saddle has full quarter horse bars which means the tree is made to fit the traditional stocky body of a Quarter Horse. That does not mean it is meant only for quarter horses. It just means it isn't a narrow tree.
will this fit a minature horse?
Best Answer: We bought the full quarter horse bar size so I am not sure if it would fit a mini. I would think the stirrups would be too long. The saddle is nice looking and my 10 year old is extremely comfortable in it.
what size saddle pad works with this saddle. . . and what shape - square - round, etc.?
Best Answer: The size of the pad depends on the size of saddle you order,I have two sizes of this style a 10 inch and 12 inch. My pads are square and are small in size because these saddle go on ponys. But I'm sure a full size horse pad would be fine for a horse size saddle ...
Would this fit a thoroughbred or quarter horse?
Best Answer: I had originally bought this saddle for my extremely high witherd 15.1 QH gelding who also tends to be quite thin most of the year. It fit him wonderfully, and I think he liked it more than my other saddle. But I suggest you buy this saddle a size bigger than usual as my seat was way to small and I had to return it and ended up getting a saddle for Christmas from my grandfather, so I no longer have it, so I can't say how durable it is.
I have never ridden a thoroughbred in this saddle so I can't say about them either. But I did notice that this saddle has a high pommel and is narrower than some others, so if your TB is thin, it will probably fit. Hope that helped!
what size saddle do you need for a child?
Best Answer: Saddle size needs depends on the size of the child. For starters, I recommend youth fenders for anyone 5' 2" and under. Generally, a normal weight child 8 - 11 years old would fit a 13" seat on a youth saddle. Younger children need a smaller seat unless the child is overweight, and an older child needs a larger seat. There are guidelines for weight too, such as 15" seat for 100 -125 lb. Rider 5' - . 5"5" tall. When possible, it is good to sit on a saddle of which the seat size is known to use as a reference. if the thigh touches the swell or the rider rock back onto his balance point, then it is too small.
How deep is the seat in this saddle.?
Best Answer: We bought this as a starter saddle for our daughter. The seat is deep like a barrel saddle which is why we bought it. Great little starter saddle for kids.
How short do the stirups go ??? I am buying for a 7 year old !!
Best Answer: A 17" seat will be way too big for a seven year old child. You need a youth saddle. A youth saddle has a seat 14" or smaller, and the fenders will be shorter... youth fenders. What you are looking at here is for an adult taller than 5' 2". Standard fender length is meant for people 5'3" and taller. People 5'2" and shorter need to order an adult western saddle with youth fenders on them instead of standard fenders. To get one with youth fenders is an additional charge.
does the saddle come with a belly strap an will this saddle fit a walking horse comfortably? i am a first time horse owner and had 2 droped in my lap for free. i dont want to buy something i can not use. thank you for any help you can provide.
Best Answer: This saddle does come with a cinch (belly band). It's wide with the full quarter horse bars, but typically a walking horse is called a "gaited breed." They usually need more width at the shoulders to account for their exaggerated movement in their legs. We found, however, it does fit our Arabian okay which is another harder breed to fit, as it has some flexibility to it. Gaited saddles are sometimes pretty expensive. I would recommend checking the return policy and maybe trying one of these saddles on your horses. Have a friend who knows horses come and give you an idea of if it fits well. Saddle fitting is SO tricky and it's also SO important to keeping your horse healthy and pain free. Good luck! If it doesn't work try calling saddle shops to see if they have used gaited saddles and do fittings if you can bring your horses there. Many do!
would this saddle fit a high withered horse?
Best Answer: I think it should be fine for a high withered horse, but you would need to measure your horses back to make sure that they would take a full quarter width, 3/4, or narrow gullet.
I ordered the full quarter with me because my horse has a wide back and a moderately high wither.
Does this saddle already have rigging?
Best Answer: Yes, just front rig and a 32" rope cinch. The off-billet is kind of short and the near billet has no holes for the cinch buckles. It is EXCEPTIONALLY comfortable for my Quarter Horse and me. The conchos were not as pictured, the "stars" pictured on the brown saddle became round floral rosettes (MUCH prettier).
My girlfriend is only 4'10" what size saddle should I get ?
Best Answer: She might need a Jr saddle? We did purchase a 14 and that works great for those that are under 5 feet.
Are the fenders on the 11 inch saddle the small ones like on the 10 inch saddles or the next size up?
Best Answer: If it says "quarter horse bars" then it should fit a large horse
Our saddle like this does
I have a growing filly she Currently stands at 14.1 hh but is gonna 15 hh+ so what size saddle would I need?
How short do the stirrups go? Looking at the 11" for a 5 year old kid.
Best Answer: We removed the fender which is stiff foam and plastic. The hobble keeps the straps together. The stirrups are quite large so we swapped them with smaller ones. That are in our medium sized saddles.
The seat is very "sticky" suede so the kids stay put. I ordered 12 of them and would have to say each one must have been made I'd a different factory. Not consistent in stirrup material, Blevins, number and type of holes in the stirrup strap, riveted or seen on fender, and color. But I like them for 3-8 yr olds.
full or semi bars
is this saddle full quarter bars or semi quarter bars ?
Best Answer: The bars for this saddle vary by size.
11" seat size has semi-quarter horse bars while the 13" through 17" have full quarter horse bars.
can you order youth fenders ?
Best Answer: The pony (11) and youth sizes (13 & 14) will have the shorter fenders.
What is the EXACT weight of this particular saddle in 15"? Have back issues and am looking for a lighter weight for my 15.2, 1100 lb TW.
Best Answer: This saddle weighs 14 lbs.
Is this the semi-quarter horse bar saddle?
Best Answer: This saddle is on full quarter horse bars in the larger sizes and the childs 11" size is on semi-quarter horse bars.
What is wrong with the pricing? On one page it says a price than on this one it says diffrent.
Best Answer: The King Series Synthetic Trail Saddle starts at $132.99. Price will increase depending on size/color selection.

What is the length range of the stirrups on a 16"?
Best Answer: I'm sorry, this is not a standard measurement provided by the manufacturer. All stirrups are adjustable and additional holes can be added as needed.
