My Appy mare was previously ridden hard with spurs, severe bits and whips by her previous owners because of her "stubbornness". I got her and have been working with her and she is, indeed, stubborn, but I refused to take a heavy hand. I've been working with this bit for a while and immediately after replacing her curb bit with this, she LISTENS. It's like a 180, totally different horse.

My horse loves this bit! I was having trouble with bits on her. I thought by upping the bit, she would be easier to stop. But turns out, NO. Upping the bit is just worse. So I got a more mild bit. And she does great in it! No fussing, stops easy, and is more relaxed. The copper rollers I think have a big affect on the relaxed part. Because she can play with it in her Mouth, and copper relaxes stressed horses, even if your horse doesn't get stressed, they will still love it. It's very well on older horses too, my horse is 16 and its just soft on her mouth, and makes her want to listen, and ride more. But it still can be used on younger horses, It would make them respond better, instead of having an uncomfortable bit in their mouth, and making riding much less fun for them, and harder for you. But what I would like to say is, if you get it for a western bridle, with no nose band. It looks silly on the horse when you pull to stop, but Still works. I have no negative complaint about this bit. I recommend it.

I love this bit. I can use it on any level horse and any age. I have used it on my competition gelding from the first time he had a bit in his mouth and still do! The copper rollers are helpful for horses that get nervous, and helps reduce them from being fussy. Classy look, my horses always look snazzy in it at shows. Very durable, never had a problem. Again, a must have for any tack room!

I love this bit! My trainer let me use hers because it would keep my horse from being bored. And it works! My horse loves it. He also listens better with it. Good product!

I use this bit on everyone from starters to seasoned show horses and they all love it! Great quality at a great price!

I love this bit!!! My Morgan loves this bit. When my instructor introduced me to this bit, I stopped using my bit and used hers instead!!! Eventually, I bought one of my own and use it every time I ride, even for shows. All in all, I highly recommend this bit. You really get your money's worth.
