Would this be a good jumping bit to use for control?
A shopper on Apr 11, 2015
Best Answer: I would not really suggest this bit if you're looking for control, as in to control speed or bad behavior, like running out the sides of jumps.
It is a nice all around bit, the big Dees provide aid in steering if you do not need as much as a full cheek would provide. Also the copper oval link encourages the horse to accept the bit and salivate. Definitely a nice, welcoming bit for training or all around. However, it's a mild snaffle so I would not describe it as controlling at all.
