does this come in larger bags?
Arlene K on Oct 5, 2015
Best Answer: I have only seen the one size bag. I feed it daily to horses. It does last quite awhile. What I do is buy like 10 bags at a time and store the extras in a cool dry place (basement); no problems at all with it.

I have a horse who was out on lush pasture all summer and is still on the skinny side. With winter coming I need her to gain some padding, could this help with that?
A shopper on Oct 18, 2016
Best Answer: Can't hurt, might help. I wouldn't try it all by itelf but make it part of a feeding program. Since I am unfamiliar with your pasture, I don't know if lush means high enough water content that is is hard to get enough food on a dry matter basis. I like to address weight gain with more/better food. Pelleted hay is my favorite because it is easy to store and feed and weigh. Different feedstuffs have different availability in locations. Stable Mix pelleted feed is popular around here and there are many different formulations to choose from.

Can you feed it as likd trying to not get colic? Like will it help the odds?
Ringa on Apr 19, 2016
Best Answer: This can help but not prevent colic. I have used daily for a pony and mare that would colic every spring, and fall and sometimes even in winter w/new hay. I also provide tons of fresh air, NO stall time, no over grazing which can start a colic. This is a great product that has helped me a ton. Knock on wood I have not had a colic in over 2 years since I began using this product. Keep in mind, I limit my pony and Mare on pasture (2 hrs max) daily, reduced hay intake, I feed ZERO grain, ZERO treats, and they are outside 24/7 w/access to shelter if needed and lots of fresh clean water. They lick their buckets clean with this product too, so it must taste good. Even my vet asked what I was doing. Makes their coats shiny and pretty as well. You can tell they feel better in their guts. No more biting at tummy either. I love this product!
