Horses, Ponies, and Foals
Thoroughly brush the horse's coat prior to application, to remove loose dirt and debris. For dirty horses and as a preparation for show grooming, clean the coat with a shampoo. Great for those times on trail when your worried about mosquitoes in the woods, at evening or early morning, keeps away any type of fly and prevents ticks from getting picked up by the legs and chest. It is water soluble so washes off readily after your ride so there is no greasy residue.
Marie C on Sep 2, 2015
It works!

Best Answer: Sorry, I don't know. My horse never got ticks when using Halt, but didn't get them before either!
Works great for mosquitos, and helps for other flying insects.
