Rated 5 out of 5 by Good reins I got these in black & I really like them. I like that they're a little longer, so I can adjust them to riding at home or at the race. My only complaint is those conway buckles. Why won't anybody put BRASS buckles & snaps on anything anymore?? Geesh. I mean I know I paid next to nothing for these reins, but I'd rather they came with no buckles as what's on there. I've used them at one race & rode with them twice at home & I'm already about to order new buckles. BUT - as I said before, I really do like the reins themselves. September 11, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love Love Love! I am in love with these reins! The pink and black ones match all of my tack. And they're really sturdy and fairly inexpensive for the quality. I highly recommend these. August 30, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by Luv 'em My friend bought these for her barrel horse and they both love them. She highly rrecomended them, so I bought a pair. The blue/green ones match my nylon tack perfectly. They are perfect for barrels, or even just trail rides. The knots are in the perfect place for holding. February 7, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome I contest alot, and these reins are awesome, the blue/green are so eye catching. My horse has all of his tack color coded so it all matches, these fit perfect, they do like to come off though, so watch it January 23, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Reins! These reins are awesome! I love them. I got the blue and green set and have been very happy with them. The only problem I have had with them is one side came undone at the end of a practice run i was doing. so you need to just make sure there on good before you run. But when they get dirty just take the metal parts off and throw in the wash! December 21, 2010

How do you connect to bit?
A shopper on Feb 18, 2015
Best Answer: It has conway buckles that you undo and pass through the hole on the shank of the bit. It can be time consuming to undo and reattach,so I also bought brass trigger snaps for easy unclip and reclip. Just undo the buckle, pass the rein through the eye of the snap and redo the buckle. Then you can just snap the reins on and off of your bit. They are very durable. I have at least 10 sets for my trail riding business, can't beat the price! Love them!

How long are these reins?
Annie on Apr 29, 2015
Best Answer: they are 8 ft but will go a lot shorter, i have a little cutting bred mare with a short neck and they fit her fine but also fit larger horses too. thats a pretty average size for most horses
