Rated 5 out of 5 by very nice I love using these reins riding on my dirt road. Not too short not too long. I have much more control than with my other reins. They are also better to longe with. I don't have to worry about my horse stepping on them. But I would like to have them in a different color because they get really dirty and turn almost black! May 18, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by good ol' rein I really like this rein. The length is perfect for me. I can lunge her with her bridle and rein on and not have to worry about the rein getting caught anywhere, and when I ride, there is enough slack so that it doesnt bother me or my horse. One thing I dont recommend is riding with this rein on a trail, your arm will get tired. My mare likes to stick her nose out on trails and this rein is too short for that, so my arm was stick straight for the whole trail... luckily she is good enough that I was able to let go of the rein and give myself a rest for a minute. I have always ridden with split reins but my stallion needs a more control and I don't need to worry about dropping a rein so now I'm switching.

Flat reins are easy on the hands. Arrived soft and supple. Love the scissor clips. They make it easy to change out the reins in a snap.
