Why did you choose this? Store
I had a wool pad before and really liked it. It absorbs moisture and conforms to the horse's body. I don't trust the felt blends as I had a horse who blistered under a felt lined breast collar. I do wish it had a leather girth wear guard.

Wool absorbs sweat and it is easy to keep clean: wash it in cold water and hang to dry.

It's thin. It's real wool so it wicks moisture & regulates temperature. It's pliable so will be more comfortable for the horse.

Can you put Saddle blankets on top of it or con u use it alone ?
A shopper on Sep 23, 2015
Best Answer: This pad is only 1/2 inch of felt that gets a little stretchy, thus thins in spots. I would not use it alone. I use it with a lamb's wool pad that claimed to be a full inch, but compressed to 1/2 inch when used. I actually put the lamb's wool over the horse's back and use this over the top. The saddle rubs against this pad cause pilling, but doesn't matter for my purpose. I would probably not use it alone. If you notice dry spots in the sweat pattern on your horse, after a sweaty ride, it is where the saddle is too tight and causes so much pressure that the skin cannot even sweat.

How do you know what type of felt, such as F10,F11 or F15?
A shopper on Feb 12, 2015
Best Answer: I do not know which type. Very pleased with the pad. It picks up the sweat and keeps by saddle blanket clean.
