I bought these BECAUSE the reviews all said they were too short. I even had to add extra holes for our little 12 hand Welsh. They are GREAT for ponies. We have 2 mares that are 14.2 and our little 12 hand. PERFECT! And you can't beat the price. I would highly recommend them to anyone with ponies. But be prepared to add holes if you have a little one like I do.

I read the reviews and unfortunately ignored them. Indeed, they are too short. This was an inefficient use of my time and money spent on this purchase.

These are the only side reins like this out there - the buckle features fine tuning better than 'snap and go' due to hole spacing (smaller increments). However, if you have a horse that is over 15 hands, get 2 pairs and have your local leather/shoe/camping repair place extend these! They are too short for regular size horses - it would be inhumane and abusive to try and make your average size horse fit in these. A good product - just needs to be 6" to a foot longer.

I got these from Chicks saddlery - same item (came to SL hoping for longer ones) These are TERRIBLE if you have anything larger than a medium pony. I agree, GET THESE OFF THE MARKET or better advertise PONY SIZE. Ugh! :(

Laughable actually! I bought them to use on my 15.3 mare as a tool in her training. Even on the last hole they put her in a ROLLKUR headset! I immediately took them off. They are not a 6 foot line, more like 2 1/2 foot. Should be marketed as pony or MINIATURE horse size.

These side reins are good quality but are much too short for a 16 hand horse. Wish I had known that.
