I bought these clippers because I love the Oster brand. Unfortunately I am on my second pair and sending out for a third, not good! The first time the housing broke off withing 8 times of use (never dropped them) and now the on/off button gets stuck any time I try to turn it on, forcing me to pry it out with a screwdriver. The base also gets very hot, very quickly so you don't burn the dogs but you burn yourself. They are quiet and well contoured for your hand but it's certainly not worth it.

I ordered these to replace my A5s thinking they would be a little bit more powerful. I can barely get these to clip legs and bridle paths! They are quiet and ergonomic on the plus side. My 15 year old $20 Wahls clip better than these. Maybe I got bum clipper?

When this happens it will not cut hair. I can't find these tiny screws any where. I even called Oster. It only needs these 2 tiny screws. So I am out of business until I can solve this problem.

This clipper is awsome, even the single speed does a great job. But both my clippers died withen 6 months because of the cord. I wrap the cord around the base when putting away--not a good idea, espesially when they do not make a replacement yet!!
