Why did you choose this?
how many screws hold this to the wall?
Best Answer: 4 Screws hold it in. I have 2. One on top of the other. They are affixed to a pine paneled locker and I have 2 very heavy western saddle on Them. They are sturdy. They have been up almost two years and have not moved.
will the saddle pad hang on the lower tube under the actual saddle rack?
Best Answer: My average sized wool or neoprene pads (3/4-1 inch thick and 31-32 inches in length) will not fit underneath this wall mounted saddle rack. I don't store any pads underneath mine, but you may be able to hang a thin blanket-type there if you fold it.
I have several of these saddle racks and they work great, and save space, especially for saddles that I don't use very often, as I can put them up high, out of the way. I have a separate wall-mounted blanket hanger with several swing-out bars for all of my pads. Hope this helps!
Question for State Line: Is the oversize charge for each rack? In otherwords, if I ordered 6, would it be an extra $60 or just $10?
Best Answer: Yes, the oversize charge is per rack.
Can these saddle racks be attached securely and durably to concrete wall?
Best Answer: Yes, with the right hardware and equipment. I would consider attaching a '2x'4 to the wall and attaching your racks to that instead. Less holes in your concrete and you have some margin for error when placing your racks.
what is dimension from top of top mounting plate to bottom of bottom mounting plate?
Best Answer: 10 1/2 iinches. We just attached these to inside walls with large wood screws. I also purchased the green ones for the barn. Had to attach a block of wood in order to attach them to the barn. They are great for saddles!
