what is the purpose of bell boots? I was told my TW is "overreaching" on his hind hooves and it was recommended that I get him bell boots. Any suggestions?

Best Answer: If your horse is wearing front shoes and he 'over-reaches', then his back foot could step on the rear of the shoe on his front hoof and pull it off. I bought them for the first time recently because my horse tears up the pvc bell boots too quickly. So far, I like these a lot!
