It's hard to find a 38 inch girth and this one had it!
EMMY B on Aug 14, 2016
These don't slip, easy to clean, slim and subtle looking. Stands up to the heavy wear, too.

Where do you measure from? Is it the end of the buckle or the actual girth?
A shopper on Jan 10, 2016
Best Answer: Great question, I really don't know. I am always up in the air about what length to buy. Plus realize that there is stretch on both ends and the amount of stretch is a factor. Last girth i bought I now wish I had ordered the next smaller one as there was a lot of stretch. I might, next time order two of different lengths and return the one that is too long/short after trying them both.

how wide are the buckles ? my billets are 1 1 /4 wide.....
Paddi H on May 24, 2016
Best Answer: The inside (from the inside metal of one side to the inside metal of the other side) of one buckle is 1 & 1/8th inch, (the buckles measure 1 & 1/2 inch from outside to outside of one buckle) so I don't think your billets would fit. It seems to be the standard size, because I measured 2 other types of english girths and they were the same size.

What are the measurements on the buckles? I have a saddle with the girth billet straps measure 1 1/4 inch wide and 1/4 inch thick. I cannot find an english girth with large enough buckles.
Janet on May 23, 2016
Best Answer: It seems your billet straps are a little wide. I suggest you take your saddle to a saddle repair or even a shoe repair shop and see if they could trim your billet straps just a bit. Trimming a 1/16th of an inch off your billet strap width would probably work. Taking a girth with you to show them the dimensions needed, probably would be helpful. Hopefully, you could borrow someone's if you don't have one to take with you.

A shopper on Jan 4, 2015
Best Answer: That is a dressage-length size. Please check out the Professionals Choice SMx Dressage Girth (item E002209).
