Great Pad!!!!! No Problems, 11/12/2012

Sara from Fallbrook, Ca

I love this pad and so does my horse, with gymkhana lessons two days a week and a gymkhana show once a month he doesn't mind having the saddle on for long periods of time. My trainer saw this pad and was impressed with the raised air ride for the shoulders and has noticed he moves more freely. NO sliping problems here. Will keep buying this one when I need to.

Great Pad!!!, 9/3/2012

Hue Yabbinzeenkie from Chelyabinsk, Russia

This is a great pad and I don't know why anyone is saying it slips too much because it doesn't slip at all for me even on my big 1000 pound Morgan/Clydesdale... How about you make sure your cinch is tight or your saddle fits okay?!?!?! P.S. I didn't use my real name nor location for safety reasons

Holds up well, but slips like crazy!, 8/14/2012

Somebody from MO

I've bought two saddle pads like this so far. They hold up EXTREMELY well, and rarely show any signs of wear/tear (I have a used one, which I use atleast once a week for 1 hour of hard work straight or more and it looks the same as a brand new one!) BUT, it slips like CRAZY! I have to take my saddle off, readjust pad, and tack back up inbetween runs simply because the saddle pad will slip out from under the saddle. Extremely annoying, and I wouldn't recomend to any barrel racers (trail riders, sure) to use it. It also is a little thin and doesn't offer as much support as I feel it should for the pricetag.

GREAT SADDLE PAD!!!, 3/31/2012

sarah from PA

I don't know why everyone says this pad slips or is too thin. These pads have been great for my horse!! I have about 5 different colors that I've purchased over the years. i use them on all my barrel horses, from thick, fountdation type quarter horse, to my small, cutting bred pony. No horse has ever had a problem. They have also held up very well over the years. I bought my first one 6 years ago and it is still in perfect shape (but I do take very good care of them, hose them off with soap about once a month). Overall great buy!!

NOT GOOD, 3/8/2012

Brittni from Kennewick, WA

I purchased this saddle pad because it was on sale. Every time I used the pad it slid back. Very uncomfortable for both my horse, and I. The curve didnt fit my big stout/stocky bulldog type quarter horse, it was positioned too far back. I would NOT reccommend this saddle pad to anyone.

This saddle pad has been great!, 7/25/2011

mae from Hawaii

I have a horse with high withers and my saddle was sitting right on them. I love the professionals choice line and have used many of their other products. after buying this pad my horse was not sore and it's cute ;). I have NOT had a problem with the pad slipping back, even when i have gone on LONG trail rides. For me and my horse this saddle pad has been GREAT

Great Pad!!!, 7/12/2011

Serenity from Troy,AL

I love this pad, I bought the mamba blue one and it looks great on my buckskin tobiano paint mare. It contours to her back really good, I was skeptical about this pad because some of the other reveiws said that it slipped alot but I rode with a wool navajo pad underneath it(extra padding, absorbs sweat better, and extends the life of the fleece) and it didn't move an inch, I can feel my horse soo much better with this pad. Also, I love the built up withers because before with my other pad my saddle seat had a downward facing seat, now it is so much asier to go around barrels because the seat is back to how it is supposed to be. It is not bulky and the colors are great. I love this pad and reccomend it to anyone who has a high withered horse.

This pad really is an air pad!!!, 6/6/2011

Karen from Minnesota

Do not purchase this pad...they look great, however, their air ride name is really true as mine has literally flown off the back of my horse TWICE during barrel runs! Yes I use a back cinch. I have to adjust it constantly. My daughter just got one because of the giraffe print..just used it at a race this pas week and it ended up on her horses but after exhibitions. I do not recommend this pad.

I'm not happy with this product!!, 4/23/2011

Karen Wolf from Nelsonville,Ohio

It is a beautiful saddle pad and would seem very comfortable for my horse...however it slips out from under my saddle no matter how tight my saddle girth is and is very dangerous for both of us! I got it in feb and didnt use it till march now I cant even return it due to STRICT 30 day return policy!! Go figure!!Bet they would still cash my check!

Not a good pad., 1/14/2011

Caitlyn from San Antonio, Texas

I bought this for my Thoroughbred gelding since he has high withers, but I ended up returning it because it caused him pain while we practiced barrels and turned (since the gel pockets are too far back from the shoulers) and got dirty fast! Plus it ripped after just a week since I got it, and the material and thickness of the pad is horrible. I wouldn't advise getting this pad unless you use it just for show and not for a regular riding pad.

Great for my little old mare!, 1/2/2011

Bonnie from San Antonio, TX

I have a 14hh 22 year old Arabian mare that I just retired from barrels. However, after purchasing this pad, I may run her in the local playdays and 3-D's for another season or two! Now that I'm using this pad, my mare's practice runs have been so much smoother than they have been in a long time. It's like all of a sudden she's able to really dig in to the turns and lead changes. It has really made a difference. I have to post on this horse because her trot is so rough, but now I don't have to post so much! It feels like her trot has gotten smoother! Plus, this is the only quality pad I could find that fits my tiny horse. Plus, it's shaped like her back with the high withers! I highly recommend this pad to anyone who seems to be having back troubles and stiffness with their horse!

slipped back constantly!, 8/16/2010

Liz Sweeney from

First of all, I had to send this back twice before horse.com finally sent me one without a tear on the side. They were very nice and didn't charge me for sending it back and sending me a new one each time, but it was a hassle. I have a high withered TB and it is hard for me to find a saddle that fits her. I bought this and it definitly improved saddle fit and she seemed comfortable, but after only a few minutes of riding it had slipped at least four inches back. I tried to use a breastplate but it didn't help. I ended up returning it. I wouldn't recommend this product. I'm going back to my tacky too.

Horse loves it, 4/29/2009

vicky from ozark, mo

My horse has the dish going on. I was hesitant to buy this, unknowing if it would help. I am so glad I did. My horse rides free under saddle. Its a good feeling to know that he is comfortable. I bought the square pad, and glad I did, the smaller one, not sure would fit under my saddle. Siza matters here, as I ride a 16 inch round skirt. The round pad may fit a smaller saddle.

Comfort A+++, 12/27/2007

Jacey from WA

I purchased MANY pads before finding this one. My barrel horse is VERY cold backed and there was rarely a day that I would ride him without having a bronc show in warm up even riding daily. After purchasing this pad, he bucks far less and not as severly if he does buck. Although it is a very expensive pad, it is well worth the money.
