To stop my horse from getting sun bleached
Stephanie M on Apr 15, 2014
Can this be used on horses nose to prevent sunburn?
A shopper on Aug 1, 2015
Best Answer: It may help, but I would recommend using something with zinc oxide in it. That will provide much more protection. I have also purchased zinc oxide powder (from Amazon) and mixed with A&D ointment and applied to my horse's nose when it was getting burned. Worked like a charm. This spray seems to primarily help with bleaching which isn't necessarily caused by the same spectrum of UV light that causes the burns.

Does This cause any build up or over oiliness on the horses body?
Elizabeth W on Nov 29, 2015
Best Answer: Hi there! No, this product has no buildup or oily properties whatsoever. I love this stuff. It has a consistency of milky water. I have a black horse and I spray this on her once a week in the summer. After I spray it on, I like to take a soft brush and give her a quick swipe all over to make sure I've applied it evenly. (This is just what I do, but It's probably not necessary since the sprayer it comes with sprays a nice even mist.). My mare stays shiny black all summer even though she is turned out most hours of the day and night. Best product out there to protect your horses coat in my opinion! I get compliments all year on how beautiful my horse is since she isn't sun-bleached like most. (I even use it on my dog.. A Black Labrador .. He's super shiny too!). :)

I intend to use this as a wipe for my mares nose as she tends to sunburn. Would this work and do u have a spf rating ?
A shopper on Jul 10, 2015
Best Answer: Dear shopper, my paint mare has a tendency to get a sunburn on her pink nose. Although I love the Quic Screen product, it's not the best practice for managing the face. I've learned through trial and error that either a long fly mask covering the nose works or applying desitin diaper rash ointment. I also use the desitin around the tail area to inhibit itching and sunburn. Hope this helps! Best of luck, Anna
