Intelligent design for Maximum Comfort. The Comfort Flex pad has the unique flexibility to fit a wide range of conformations, giving horse owners a single pad solution for multiple mounts. Anatomically cut and contoured for added spine and loin relief. The unique cut at the back of the pad allows the pad to fit the shape of the horse over the loin instead of bridging. Also, the wither relief cut is great for high and low withered horses alike – and it doubles as an easy carry handle. The close contact leg cut gets the rider closer to the horse for better feel. Reinsman's exclusive Tacky Too® bottom is a non-slip material that is anti-bacterial, ventilated, pressure distributing, shock absorbing, and deceptively tough and durable. It does not pull or collect the horse's hair nor does it trap heat or sweat. Reduce sore backs and saddle roll! Low maintenance, easy to clean and quick drying.

Do I need a blanket with this pad?
Debbie P on Jan 24, 2014
Best Answer: No, I ride with just this pad. It works great all by its self. It doesn't allow the saddle to slide around. Everything stays put. It looks thin but I ride 5 to 6 hours a day sometimes and it works great. Plenty thick enough.

Will this fit a 4.2hh horse, who weighs 985 pounds??? Thank you.
Carol K on Jan 20, 2014
Best Answer: Carol, I think it depends on whether your horse is long backed or not. My horse is a 15.3 hand quarter horse with an average back. I let the pad come forward under the saddle a bit, and it still just brushes his flanks. My friends thoroughbred just couldn't tolerate it rubbing. It's a great pad, LOVE IT!!! But the fit could be iffy on a smaller horse

Hope this helps

Having a problem with saddles lipping. She's a little wide at the girth and might be more of a thick pad problem. Do you think this will help saddle roll or do you another recommendation?
Pat H on Mar 10, 2016
Best Answer: I recommend checking the length of your girth first. The girth should be measured from the widest point of the barrel on one side to the same point on the other directly behind the front legs. My 15.2 gelding measures 23" so I use a 22" felt easy cinch. He's hard to stop saddle roll on as well and that is the main thing that helps keep the saddle in place. This is a good pad, stick with one, don't use a blanket or liner or two pads - at least 1 inch thick. Good luck.
