Product Summary:

RESCUE!® Fly Bag

The RESCUE!® Fly Bag catches flies in bulk and is simple to use. Use around the barn and other outdoor areas with heavy fly concentration.  Just add water and hang! When the trap is full simply take it down, close the yellow top and throw the entire trap in the garbage. This trap is baited for fly species which are most common in agricultural areas -- including house flies, false stable flies, blow flies, blue and green bottle flies, flesh flies, face flies and many others. The RESCUE!® Big Bag Fly Trap contains a fast-acting fly attractant that starts working as soon as you add water. Food and feed additives are combined with other dried ingredients to make the RESCUE!® attractant. Lured by the scent, flies enter through the yellow top cap and drown in the water.

  • Designed to handle outdoor areas with heavy fly concentrations
  • Powder attractant is contained within the trap itself
  • Attractant dissolves and activates quickly when water is added to the bag
  • Trap's design eliminates touching the bait or the flies
  • Completely disposable
  • Made in the U.S.A.
Small Bag:  holds approximately 20,000 flies
Large Bag:  holds approximately 40,000 flies

Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 26 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Thank You Living in Texas with a horse?!? I imagined the fight with the flies was on. I found the Big Bag Fly trap in the feed store along with other supplies but the Fly Trap was the smartest buy of them all. I don't have a problem with flies because of it July 28, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Bag Fly Trap Awesome product. I have been using 3 plastic fly traps that I refill. I needed to add one near the barn and decided to try this disposal bag after reading the reviews. I could hardly believe that one bag trapped more flies than the 3 plastic traps combined. Rated 5 out of 5 by Catches More Flies Than Any Other Brand... My horses were getting so bit up and bloody, I would cry for them. Other than body sprays, I didn't know what else I could do for them that would actually work, without using poisons or harsh chemicals on or around them. I bought these 2 yrs ago to try. THEY REALLY WORK! (for adult flies). I also use these bags ALONG WITH a 'Fly Eliminators' program (for destroying the larvae & hatching flies). We have 2 horses and a 5 acre pasture, and a (neighbor's)herd of cattle just across the road. I've tried other brands, and I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that only after a week or so, the 3 bags I bought were LOADED FULL, and I had to get more! - the other brands I had, would only have a few if any caught. I hang one (about) every other T-post, and 1 extra around the largest poop 'area,' and NONE inside the barn or part of the field where your horses hang out most(the idea is that you want to attract flies to come OUT and stay out, of those areas). Also, there's been a GREAT reduction in the fly population around the barn as a whole, thanks to the 'Rescue' bags. And each year, the fly population declines even more. I didn't even have to use a fly mask on my horse's face last year, or, this year (so far!) As long as flies are attracted to these (smelly!) bags and not them, my horsies are HAPPY.... Happy horsies = HAPPY ME ! June 26, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent! This is the best fly trap I've used so far, and it attracts a ton of flies! They then leave my horse and me alone. Much better then the refillable traps I was using, which are really gross to replace. The only thing is that my horse thinks these traps are going to eat him or something, cause whenever I replace them he gasps and snorts (hence 4 stars for pet approval) I think at the smell, which I don't blame him cause they do smell pretty bad. :P Great Product May 10, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best fly trap This is THE best fly trap - catches a TON of flies. I have put it side by side with another brand - this one is teh one that most of the flies go to. April 15, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Only one to use I have tried other traps and this one is the best. September 8, 2011

Rated 5 out of 5 by The best! WE have been using these traps for many years (the smaller ones). We have never found anything else that does as good a job of reducing flies on our ranch as this product. August 14, 2011

I'm thinking of getting a few of these for my horse pasture, but I just don't want my horses to chew on them. Has anyone ever had a problem with that?
A shopper on Mar 30, 2015
Best Answer: I would not recommend putting them where the horses can get to them. #1 - you never know what they will eat, and plastic can cause delayed problems like enteroliths and immediate problems like colic. #2 - Even if they only play with them, they will be really stinky if they get the stuff on them, and VERY attractive to flies. #3 - the guidance online says to put them at least 50 feet away from where you don't want flies. I would pay attention to prevalent wind patterns for your pasture and put them where the wind will blow the odor to the pasture, thus luring the flies out and away. In our area, prevalent wind is from the east in the am and west in the pm, so traps are out in both directions.
