I bought this pad in white/purple at my local tack shop. I bought it for almost twice the price than it is advertised on here, so in the future I would purchase it online. It is well made, and has held up through several washings. I have washed it with a mild detergent only(the kind that is free of dyes and perfumes)in a delicate cycle, then hang dry. I have used a stain remover for spot cleaning stains. The only issue I would have with quality is that the intricate stitching on the outer has, on occasion, come undone. However, since this is an easy fix it doesn't bother me. It is a thin pad, but it is advertised as close contact so it is true to it's description. The most distinguishing feature of this pad is its wicking properties. It does help reduce the amount of sweat underneath the saddle during schooling. What sold me was the fact that, after washing, the outer part of the pad would be soaked, but underneath would be almost completely dry! I also like that the underside is brown so that dirt and hair doesn't show as much. My sensitive-backed OTTB likes this pad, so as long as he likes it, I'm happy.
