Rated 4 out of 5 by Good I thought that this pad was perfect for what i needed. Even though it is not as thick it really gets the job done for me!! August 23, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Disappointing This pad has several strikes against it. I made the mistake of buying from a seller on ebay who doesn't accept returns, thinking I was getting the deal of the century. If you honestly NEED a big squishy pad to comfort your horse's back, save the money and get a better one! The sheepskin on this is EXTREMELY thin, squishes down, and if you ride in a saddle much bigger than 17", it's not going to fit. A plain old shaped synthetic fleece pad provides more protection! Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice! The quality is not as nice as I expected it to be, but you cannot beat the price! I have had nice half pads before but this one will do just fine and I am glad I got it! May 10, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice, but not enou padding for extremely high with Very nice pad, holds up well, others use it at my barn. My mare has extremely high withers and she still has dry spots under the saddle on her lower withers. It does cushion, but I have to go back to the old fashioned cut out kind. April 28, 2012

A nice pad, and protective for the horse. I really like the look as well. Seems a good quality.

I purchased this as a more economical option for getting a sheepskin half pad. The quality of sheepskin and stitching is great. I have used it on average 5 times a week since February, the sheepskin has not flattened or become uneven. I don't use the Velcro straps and it stays in place. The rolled edges are staying together, no fraying. I ordered pink, it is truly a hot pink. It is a little long on my 17.5" jumping saddle, but it hasn't stopped me from using it in the show ring. Will buy again.

pad is not too thick. I have an albion close contact saddle and need 1/2 pad for bump in horse's spine, but still want to maintain close contact. My Trainer uses same pad on 10+ horses a day,and it holds up extremely well!

Work good for horses not needing thicker wither protection.

I'm looking for a saddle blanket for my mini that will fit her and keep a 7" saddle from slipping. Do you think this may work?
Susan B on Jul 30, 2015
Best Answer: This pad is 22" long and probably too large for your mini. You may wish to consider the Tough-1 Mini Sierra Acrylic Saddle Blanket (item E012984).
