I bought this turnout blanket for my horse in the winter months and she never came in from the rain wet. I watched the rain just slip right over her back. It never leaked and has proven to be very durable. Highly recommend this turnout blanket!

I only blanket my horses if it gets below 20 degrees but a year ago February at the NSHA, I bought a small yearling filly that was body clipped. It was still pretty cold out and she really needed a blanket (my horses are outside horses with heavy coats in the winter), I ended up driving to 6 feed/tack stores but none of them had one small enough. My friend had a weanling size it was a little small but it worked until I got home to my computer & Stateline Tack! I ordered the "Blueberry" in a size 60, it came in 3 days and it fit her great after adjusting to the tightest fit. She wore it 24/7 for almost 3 months then at night for another 3 months it held up great in the pasture keeping her warm and snug! This year she has her heavy coat and when it got below 20 her blanket still fit her with adjustments. Overall the Saxon 1200 is a tough, warm, waterproof blanket, and you can't beat the price!

I love love love this blanket. It is the only blanket I've ever bought that DOES NOT Bunch, turn or hang on the ground after my horses have had them on all day or night!! It is also a great weight for Virginia weather. BUY this blanket, believe me you won't go wrong !!!!

Hi. Not sure what the comment "good for small horses meant" but we have 6 horses (variety of breeds and sizes 13.1H to 16.2H) who are for the most part, "young". They love to play w/each others blankets (that are on 24/7 for several months straight); they pull them up and over heads, pull on front buckles, rear flaps, etc., all resulting in short lives for our blankets. BUT these, are not only warm and dry (critical for our area) but for our first time ever, they have withstood the beatings!!!I've ordered 6 to date and am ordering several more for myself and friends shortly. Thank you Horse.com!!!!!

Bought this blanket 3 years ago for my TB mare who is very hard to winter. Since, she has been keeping weight on better and has less rain rot in the spring. She has been dry and warm for 3 winters straight despite all the rain and snow we have received. Very satisfied with the product and would reccommend it to anyone.

Nice warm and waterproof blanket. Loved the color too. BUT it does not fit well on larger full bodied horses. While the body length, chest to tail, was appropriately sized, the blanket does not hang down on the sides enough to cover. And the neck gaped allowing more water to drip inside. It needs the velcrow in the front.

Great blanket, warm and waterproof. Love the color too. BUT it does not fit well on big horses. While the length chest to tail is appropriate size the sides of this blanket are short and do not hang down long enough to cover.

I bought two of these last year. One for my Friesian cross and one for my TB. Both are turned out during the day only with different groups of 4 geldings.
I've only been using them for two months. The first week one of the clips on the leg strap broke off. The next week the entire belly strap came detached and had to be restitched. Both have had numerous rips and tears. Not what I expected.

I bought this turnout last winter for each of my three horses (two thoroughbreds and a Morgan/Hannoverian cross), and all three blankets are still in GREAT shape! All three horses are outside 12-16 hours a day. The blankets all held up well as turnouts--and to my surprise, there was not a single tear in any of the outer material, although my Morgan/Hannoverian cross tore the lining of his. The blankets also held up well through MANY washings, and were easily re-waterproofed using Scotchguard. The two things I didn't like about this blanket were (1) the hardware on the leg straps--after a couple of weekd, the snaps would stick and became very difficult to attach/detach from the dees on the blanket; and (2) while this blanket fit my two 16-hand TBs well, the sides of the blanket ran too short to adequately cover my 15.3 hand (though considerably wider) Morgan/Warmblood cross. Overall, I'd highly recommend this blanket as a durable turnout suitable for daily use in cold and/or wet weather.

I ordered two blankets for my Thoroughbred gelding and Arabian mare. Both horses are getting "older" and are not easy keepers. Cold autumn rains have taken their toll in past years, but this year has been different, thanks to the Saxon blankets. I dress them in their blankets (a surprisingly easy task) prior to the arrival of wet weather, and their coats stay warm and dry underneath. The blankets also stay "put", in spite of the fact that 8 other horses share the corral.

I bought two Saxon blankets, one for each of my horses. I've had both blankets for two or three years, and they are still in excellent condition! They are very durable and fit my horses well, and are 100% waterproof. They've kept my horses warm and dry all winter long, I love these blankets!

I am ordering my 4th Saxon 1200. Love it. Fits great in the shoulders especially and holds up in the toughest of conditions.

This blanket turned out to be nicer than I thought. It was a little big for my horse, but is still usable (he's growing). It's nice to look at and durable. I would definetly buy this blanket again.

The workmanship of this blanket is fine, but the fit is just not very good. We got 2 of these blankets for different horses, 1-a 15.2H medium build quarterhorse, the other a 16H large/big-bodied quarterhorse. The blanket is short on the sides on both horses, and just doesn't seem to fit very good. I was a bit disappointed.

We purchased three Saxon turnout blankets for our pony stallions this winter. They are awesome. Water beads right up, ; and they are toasty warm even with the freezing temps this year. Seem to run slightly larger than size-but are still a great bargain! Thanks.

Great Fit! No rub blanket. The brand I like best, my horses have been wearing Saxxon blankets for three years now.

I needed a weatherproof turnout blanket since I can't get home incase of inclement weather. This blanket will meet my expectations and keep the girls dry and warm. I did measure but the blanket size is a little small but not so much I would consider returning. If your horse is 16 hands or larger I would get a size bigger than the 81" which is the size I bought but overall I am extremely with the price and quality.
