Specifications:

·         Measuring Instructions - Stand your horse as square as possible, measure from the center of chest around side of the body to the point of the horse's rump just before the tail. If you horse ends up measuring between sizes always round up to the next size to ensure full coverage.

·         Washing Instructions - Machine wash with cold water – Gentle cycle with mild detergent. Air Dry or Machine Dry/No Heat

·         Horses Turned Outside without Shelter - Turnout Sheet and Blanket materials are waterproof and designed to keep your horse dry, however if your horse is turned out in a field without a run in shed or shelter during prolonged rain or heavy downpours your horse may still get wet especially in the neck and tail areas.
  • When using a blanket or sheet it is critical to monitor the fluctuating climate and temperatures even with a blanket that is waterproof and breathable. The wicking properties of a breathable blanket are designed to wick away normal body heat, when a blanket is too heavy the heat and moisture cannot be wicked away fast enough causing your horse to sweat. The temperature and the length of your horse’s coat will determine what weight of blanket you should use. For this reason, most people who choose to blanket horses have several articles of horse clothing that offer varying levels of warmth.

great blanket, 2/11/2013

Lori L. from Pagosa Springs, CO

I bought 2 of these blankets in October for our horses, they have had them on since November, 24/7, the only problem I have had is the snaps don't open and shut easily but no rips in the blankets, no broken snaps, and my horses are not easy on their blankets, I definately recommend them

Great for 1 Season only, 12/18/2012

Ninaranes from Murrieta, CA

This blanket is a pretty blanket, but really is only made to last through one season. My quarter horse gelding is in a 24x48 paddock, and not turned out with other horses and we got several holes by the end of the first winter. These were patched up, but its December and he's only been blanketed for a month and a half or so and the blanket is destroyed at this point. The entire lower half of the chest including the second buckle at the chest fell apart with the seam lining having fallen apart prior to that. So again, nice pretty blanket to last you one season.

Great fit and easy to clean., 11/19/2012

Dona from Lewiston, ID

Purchased this for my hard to fit Morgan gelding and I'm quite satisfied overall. Fit's great, looks fantastic and it cleans like a dream. In less than three weeks he had it caked with mud and manure; brought it home, draped it over the balcony railing and took the hose to it. Very impressed with how quickly everything washed right off. Love the plaid!

VERY Tough Blanket!, 10/22/2012

Frogeye1 from Wadley, AL

I bought this blanket 4 years ago for my QH. He is out in a pasture all the time. This blanket won me over when my QH wore this blanket in 6+ in. of rain on the Alabama Wagon Train and only his head and neck were wet. VERY tough blanket! One of the buckles has now broken but I am not complaining after 4 years of wear. I am about to purchase another one.

Great overall, 10/8/2012

trv005 from Oakwood, GA

Excellent quality and durability. Our horse is in the pasture 24/7 and the outer shell is rugged and waterproof. Runs small from withers to croup and also from center of back to the bottom of the belly. I always order a 75 in blankets and sheets and will have a little room for movement. This one is on the snug side so I would recommend ordering up a size.

Awesome blanket!, 5/2/2012

warmbloodlover from Oregon

This blanket is perfect! It is just right for crazy central oregon weather. It is surprisingly thicker than I had imagined and it is sturdy. You wont be disappointed. Oh and it does run a little big.

Wonderful, economical - can't say enough good abou, 4/26/2012

Bobbie from Cool, California

Would buy these again, definitely. I have a 'blanket shredder' who has tried with this on, and failed. We love Weatherbetta Blankets.

Love Love Love Love Love Love Love, 3/3/2012

Cam Sanders from Triad, NC

Very durable and VERY pretty! It is the envy of the stable. The 72" is very slightly too big on our Arabian mare, but it's not unusable. Would definitely repurchase and recommend the product to others.

Best Blanket Ever!, 2/24/2012

Kris from Baldwin, MD

Bought this 2 years ago for my 15.2 TB gelding who tore his rhino to shreds after a year.Fits better and holds together better then any other blanket ive tried. Just bought another one for my 16.2 TB and it fits great, alittle short but not a big deal. Its a great price and the colors look great on them.

You've found your last blanket here., 1/16/2012

Brnies from Waxahachie, Tx

Quality inside and out. 2 years and still going strong. Simply put, I bought one of these for my gelding two years ago and am back today to buy another one for a new horse I just got. I am done searching, I couldn't be happier with the quality of this blanket. You will not be disappointed.

Great quality, durability, and overall look!, 12/29/2011

Ashley White from Vancouver, WA

I ordered this blanket in a 75 and it fit my 15.2 Paint mare perfect! Also, love the blackberry plaid color. It gets very wet here in Washington and this blanket keeps my horse warm and dry. Hard to find this good of quality anywhere for less than $100 as well. Would definitely recommend!

Short, 12/6/2011

Courtney from Indiana

I just put this on my gelding today, so I can't attest to it's durability yet, but it seems rugged. It is also a good weight for the late fall/early winter weather in central Indiana. The immediate cons I had when putting this blanket on was the back leg straps are nylon instead of elastic which I don't like. It is also short on the sides. As another reviewer put it, it has a "mini skirt" effect! It barely comes down past my 16.3 TB's belly. If you have a horse with any sort of belly, I'd try a different blanket.

Amazing blanket, amazing price, 12/5/2011

Elizabeth from Omaha, NE

Recieved my blanket within 3 days of ordering. I ordered an 81 for my thoroughbred, we warned these do run a bit large. We ended up with a couple inches of slack. Quality wise, amazing blanket. STAYS ON my crazy horse. And nothing has broken yet. Really waterproof as very warm for a medium weight. Hands down, best blanket for the price.

great value, 11/15/2011

Kristina Grey from Louisville, Ky

My family has four horses and they all wear Saxon blankets. The blankets fit well, hold up well, and last forever. One of our horses has had his Saxon for six years (it's outlasted other more expensive blankets I've tried for the others). I won't buy anything else.

Wish it fit, 11/6/2011

Emily from MA

I bought this for my stocky QH/paint. In a perfect world my horse would wear a 77 blanket. I got the 78 and my horse had a good 4" in the back. It was also way to short along her sides. Also there is no velcro in the front. In other words this blanket is not for stocky breeds. I love everything about this blanket otherwise.

Great Turnout, 10/19/2011

Sally from Cheyenne, WY

My horses live outside year round in a herd and these blankets stand up to them playing, rolling and keep them warm and dry in our chilly, windy and snowfilled winters
