  • Name Tag - Included on the inside front left.

Specifications:

  • Measuring Instructions - Stand your horse as square as possible, measure from the center of chest around side of the body to the point of the horse's rump just before the tail. If you horse ends up measuring between sizes always round up to the next size to ensure full coverage.
  • Washing Instructions - Machine wash with cold water – Gentle cycle with mild detergent. Air Dry or Machine Dry/No Heat
  • Horses Turned Outside without Shelter - Turnout Sheet and Blanket materials are waterproof and designed to keep your horse dry, however if your horse is turned out in a field without a run in shed or shelter during prolonged rain or heavy downpours your horse may still get wet especially in the neck and tail areas.
When using a blanket or a sheet on your horse it is critical to monitor the fluctuating climate and temperatures even with a blanket that is waterproof and breathable. The wicking properties of a breathable blanket are designed to wick away normal body heat, when a blanket is too heavy the heat and moisture cannot be wicked away fast enough causing your horse to sweat. The temperature and the length of your horse’s coat will determine what weight of blanket you should use. For this reason, most people who choose to blanket horses have several articles of horse clothing that offer varying levels of warmth.

Has held up well over several years use. Fit my horse well.

I need a light weight blanket for my Saddlebred mare that offered protection from the rain in the early spring when it is not real warm and for the fall days when there is a chill in the air.
Brenda B on Jul 8, 2015
So when it is cold, windy and rainy my horses don't get chilled when they are turned out all day.
Becky H on Jul 24, 2015
Great value plus quality! These blankets always fit and are tuff and last!
Roger D on Jun 26, 2015
My horse measures and exact 72"-he is 14.1H so what size would you recommend? Weight is 950#'s.
Victoria on Apr 30, 2015
Best Answer: If your horse measure a 72", we would recommend ordering that size.

What color is shown here?
Jacqueline S on Sep 27, 2013
Best Answer: I have the solid purple. I wanted this color but it wasn't available in size 78 when I placed my order. I think it was called something like blueberry? Customer service should be a better resource than us buyers on this one.

How do the sizes run? Small? Big? True to size?
A shopper on Nov 3, 2014
Best Answer: True to size, the drop tends to be shorter (but still hangs bellow the belly) then most other blankets I have tried but I actually prefer that. Makes it easier for the horse to move. I personally love this brand of blanket, the one I have is a few years old and still more waterproof then other brands I bought last season.

My horse is a 68 but is very narrow and only 14.1 he. Every sheet I have tried is too long on him. Because this is shorter could a 69 fit him. He only weighs about 800 pounds?
Linda K on Jan 18, 2015
Best Answer: If I were you I would try the smaller size. Here is why:
In my experience, my trainer and i measured my horse at an 80. I purchased the 81 in the blanket. It was big on him because he didn't have any muscles on his shoulders. When I got him the sheet version, I ordered the 78. That fit him perfectly. Fast forward 1.5 years, he has muscled up in the shoulders and topline and keeps that muscle over winter. Now the 78 is snug and the 81" fits him better. I hope that males sense.

nylon lining? not sure what they mean by oxford lining
Toni B on Apr 6, 2014
Best Answer: Nylon. I have used these turnout sheets on the two horses I own for the last 2 winters and love them. The do not slip to one side like many. I would buy this sheet again in a heartbeat.

I have a 14.1 morgan coming to me...what size blanket should I go with? he's short but stalky
Faith S on Oct 20, 2014
Best Answer: I have a 15-2 thoroughbred. She wears a 75 in blankets. That is generous and leaves room for adding a liner when it is very cold. Measure from the center of her chest to her tail and that will give you a good idea of blanket size.

How to buy the correct size horse blanket ?
A shopper on Sep 20, 2013
Best Answer: I measured my horse and he measured 80". I ordered the 81".
The blanket fits just about perfectly on him. I own 3 of these blankets and have had good results with them. They are water proof, I have never had any issues with them leaking. They also stay in place in case they roll in them.
The only thing is I wish they were just a bit longer to cover more of the belly. Otherwise they are great blankets.
