·         Measuring Instructions - Stand your horse as square as possible, measure from the center of chest around side of the body to the point of the horse's rump just before the tail. If you horse ends up measuring between sizes always round up to the next size to ensure full coverage.

·         Washing Instructions - Machine wash with cold water – Gentle cycle with mild detergent. Air Dry or Machine Dry/No Heat

·         Horses Turned Outside without Shelter - Turnout Sheet and Blanket materials are waterproof and designed to keep your horse dry, however if your horse is turned out in a field without a run in shed or shelter during prolonged rain or heavy downpours your horse may still get wet especially in the neck and tail areas.
  • When using a blanket or a sheet on your horse it is critical to monitor the fluctuating climate and temperatures even with a blanket that is waterproof and breathable. The wicking properties of a breathable blanket are designed to wick away normal body heat, when a blanket is too heavy the heat and moisture cannot be wicked away fast enough causing your horse to sweat. The temperature and the length of your horse’s coat will determine what weight of blanket you should use. For this reason, most people who choose to blanket horses have several articles of horse clothing that offer varying levels of warmth.

How is durability of fabric overall?? Does the sheet fit true to size or does it run larger or smaller than actual measurement?
Eunice F on Feb 11, 2014
Best Answer: I've had this sheet for the past 2-3 years - same one. The only problem I've had with any tearing is another horse in the pasture chews on my horse. The fabric has held up and is was finally starting to show the wear of the other horse chewing on my horse. My horse rolls regularly, and he has not torn the sheet - its' all due to the other horse. So, if you're concerned about durability, you may want to be more concerned about the other horses in the pasture ruining this sheet.

Need to get this as a gift. How do I choose a size?
Julie S on Dec 8, 2014
Best Answer: Typically you would measure the distance from the center of your horses chest to the center of their bum (dead center btwn the cheeks just below the anus - sorry for being graphic but need to be clear). Then depending on your horse's body type you would adjust your measurements from there. My horse is a lanky racing TB so she is a true 80" but warm bloods & quarter horses w their beefy chests and meaty flanks would need a few more inches to account for the added muscle and body thickness. IMO you would order the next size up (at least 2-3" bigger) especially if you don't plan to body clip. I know this bc I had a TB/QTR/WB cross who was shorter in height/length but wore the same blanket size as my retired racehorse. And... If you still can't decide, always go w bigger than smaller, bc smaller will rub any fur off to the skin and restricts movement. Good luck!!
