Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect for Kids I recommend these boots to everyone, but especially people with kids who ride. I've worn the adult version of these for the past five years, they wear out faster than expensive leather boots (my old ones were very cracked by year three and I had to replace them) but they are super comfortable and look great! Especially with kids, it isn't important for a pair of boots to last for years since they grow out of them so fast, so nice cheap comfortable boots are perfect. December 30, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by I just ordered them I just ordered this and I wear a 2 1/2 but I got a 2 I hope they will fit because I forgot to read the reviews ! August 28, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Terrific Boots These boots are great for riding. Although they run extra small. When you ride with them on they help you give better aids. They are so cute and comfortable! They are the best! June 15, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by My daughter is on her third pair! My daughter started horseback riding recreationally when she was almost 6. After the first two lessons I found and bought a pair of Saxon Equileather Paddok boots. Roughtly each year since I've bought the next size up as she's outgrown the boots. They work out great for us as the nearest tack shop doesnt' carry alot of children's sizes. I always seem to catch the sale price and often combine with riding tights to meet free shipping offers. Great for recreational needs. July 26, 2010
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not Very Impressed... These boots were great until I began trotting and cantering for longer periods of time. Then they started burning my feet! Also, early on the zipper popped off and some of the seams started to tear. I guess it is ok for the sale price but I got mine on regular price so it was NOT worth $40! I would reccomend these boots to very young children ONLY (only walking or basic trotting)I do not think that these boots are fit for long rides. They were however comfortable until the burning began and the ventalation seems to work (no sweaty feet) Overall, I would only give these boots 3 stars. June 25, 2010
Rated 1 out of 5 by Runs very small I somehow missed the review that stated that these boots ran small. I saw several other reviews, however, and since State Line does not carry the Dover Tall boot in the size we needed, we decided to order these instead. Huge mistake. I paid for second day air, and when they arrived they were so small my daughter could barely get them on her feet. She is ten and wears a four in all of her other shoes, so I assumed that ordering up a size was safe. I probably needed to order up two sizes just to have them fit. I am sending them back, and won't order again. It is not worth the hassle to order boots that should fit, only to discover that they are ridiculously too small even after ordering up a size. I will drive the hour and a half to a tack store and get them "locally". These are made in China as well. June 24, 2010
Rated 1 out of 5 by Read before you buy These boots suck, I wore them one time to ride and when I got off and started barn work the sole seperated from the boot. Never again will I buy these. I have to admit the price is tempting. May 9, 2010
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great! but............... These boots are great! I must warn you that they do run small. I out grew them fast! But its rlly hard to where mulitiple or even heavy socks b/c ur foot just wont fit! ALWAYS WHERE SOCKS!!! I didnt where socks once and I am never doing tht again! I walked around for 5 mintues and the pain got to me! I was unable to walk for 3 days! Thats how deep the cut! January 1, 2010

I don't understand the sizing. What size would a 5-year-old girl typically wear?
Marci M on Jul 13, 2015
Best Answer: My daughter is 8 years old and just outgrew her size 2 boots. I bought her 5 this time so she has room to grow and can wear two pairs of socks in the winter. They run small, so take her regular show size and go up a size or two. Maybe a 12?

If my son wears a big kid size 4, what size of these boots should i buy?
A shopper on Jun 17, 2015
Best Answer: As I recall -they were for a girl who wore a 4 youth and they were to tight. And I found out that a 4 youth was the equivalent of about a 6 adult. The child's 5 was too tight.

my child has a 4 saxon paddock boot now. She has a wide foot.. should I go to a children's 5 or go into the ladies size?
A shopper on Dec 4, 2014
Best Answer: I believe these boots run a bit smaller (shorter) but not more narrow than leather boots (e.g. Ariat). They are a little bit stiff, though, and don't stretch with wear, so sizing up and wearing thick socks might make sense.

If my child wears an adult size 6, what size would she wear in a child's boot?
Brigid B on Jun 23, 2014
Best Answer: I bought the 5 I had to return them because they were to small and ended up buying a size 7 adult in a different brand. The 5 was not the equivalent of a youth size 5. Very small. Hope that helps.
