I bought these boots to use for local schooling shows. They do fine for those but would not recommend for rated. They do not break in like leather, nor as quick. My biggest complaint is that they are very wide in the calf. I have very long, thin lower legs and even the slim width was still a little too wide and tall. But they will suffice for the amount of showing i do. But I would highly suggest that if you show regularly or even monthly.....buy real leather boots!

I really like the look of these boots, they are very soft and supple in person, they look expensive! The foot part was fine on me, very comfortable, but the calves are ridiculously narrow. I ordered the wide calf and they are still narrow as heck! I couldn't even get them zipped. I ended up selling them second hand rather than returning them, It would have cost too much to ship them back. Be sure you measure accurately before you order them, they do not stretch or give at all. Otherwise, a great boot.

The sizing was not adequate. My size in tall boots is a 8 regular, but it was extremely small on my foot so i'm returning them for a 8.5, also the calf part was rather loose, but not enough that i should buy down to an 8.5 slim, but besides sizing they are really nice and good quality for the price.

I use these boots for every day riding, especially when its rainy or muddy or I'm trail riding. They are super easy to keep clean and have worn well, still look nice. They do not break in quite as soft as real leather, but they are pretty comfortable, even if you are doing alot of walking. I won't say they look just like real leather, but decently close. Very true to size. Not suitable for showing, of course, but great for me since I don't show, I just ride! For those that do show, these would be a great option for schooling in to keep expensive real leather boots nice for shows!
