I have a new 15yr. old Q.H. I bought for trail riding. I think he may have been a school horse. I tried a snaffle which he went through and now use a correction bit on the trails which gives me control. I want to try versatility events and want to try a more gentle bit and read this one could be it.

Is the shank a 5 or 7 inch?

Best Answer: It's a 5 inch shank. This is an awesome bit! I have used it on numerous horses and have had great success with it for all level of horses and riders.

Do you have a size 6" mouth and a 5" shank?
