Rated by 5 out of 5 Amz Working out very well!
I bought this as my first English saddle to be honest I didn't expect it to work out so nicely! I've gotten many compliments at my barn. It's light very durable and I've had no issues with the color rubbing off. I ride in it about 3 to 4 times a week and it still looks brand new. I girth I replaced because the one that came with it was cheap! Other then that it's a great buy for a first time saddle!

Well as you all know you get what you pay for! These are imported as it states and are made of water buffalo hide, not cow leather. So there is a big difference in that. Even the bridle is made with it. I sell these sets as well, and use one for my older children. We have had a black set for over a year now and really havent had any issues with it! The girth needs to be replaced after riding with it for a while. Its a cotton girth with the same material as the saddle. Our sets also include better stirrups and pad at a cheaper cost. We get people who hate them and some who love them! I wouldnt trust them or sell them if they were garbage! As far as us riding in them, I would say theyre a great beginner set! Or for a younger child to learn how to care for their property before getting an expensive one! Hope this helps!

Rated by 2 out of 5 THOMAS DANCISON Poor quality
This saddle was purchased 4 months ago, used a maximum of 10 times by 2 seven year old children, each weighing 40 pounds and the flap where the stirrups attach ripped off. Supposed to be made out of leather, but actually pressed cardboard. I guess you get what you pay for

Rated by 4 out of 5 cal you get what you pay for, but it's a decent saddle
I got this saddle 7 months ago, used it about every other week (because I ride Western mainly), and it's holding up nicely. Its not a high quality saddle by any stretch of the imagination, but the 16inch fits my stocky 14hh POA gelding and me (I'm 5'4, 110 lbs) and it looks fine. I ride in it, jump him in it, and when I get around to it, I'm probably going to do some local shows with it. I've got nothing to complain about because it's durable. The only thing I found annoying is that the color on the underside of the flap is rubbing off and is now brown underneath the saddle. Not affecting the use of the saddle, just appearance. it needed some oiling and conditioner when it came, but after that, it's a well working saddle. I didn't like the girth it came with so I bought a different one (it's not stretchy at all. It's nylon.). The bridle fits him fine (pony size), but it's not high quality. I bought this set for the saddle mainly and I got what I wanted. You get what you pay for in this set and IMO it works well for the beginner or someone dabbling in English riding.

I bought this as my first English saddle. I used it on my 14.1 quater horse and it did not fit him well. After a bit of use, he began taking off in it. Then where my leg rubs on the saddle, the leather turned almost white. It doesn't seem to fit any of my horses and the quality of the leather seems cheap. I wouldn't highly recomend it.

Rated by 5 out of 5 Emily Pretty good.
This saddle is really good but if you plan on showing you might just want to get a bareback pad to ride in more often than this. It is a good saddle but the set colors get rubbed so I ride on my bareback on everything except shows.

Why did you choose this?
How do you know what size to get?
Best Answer: When trying to find the right "fit", sit in an English saddle at the local tack shop. Place your hand, fingers together and palm flat, behind you on the back of the saddle right where your butt stops and you feel leather. There should be one hand's with in that space, to the top of the cantle (back). If there is too little or too much, go to the next size up or down. I hope this helps you out. Good Luck :)
What kind of bit does the package include?
Best Answer: The bit that came with the package was a snaffle bit with D rings. I bought the set for my granddaughter to learn to ride English and to use in training her horse. it has worked very well and she has placed in competition with it.
Which saddle set is better for me? I am extremely new to English, and I want to show jump. I already bought a saddle pad and half pad. Which is better for me?
Silver Fox English Starter Set 15 Havana
Best Answer: Well the saddle that I purchase was for my daughter. She is 14 years old 5'4 and I got her the EquiRoyal Event Saddle Package and she love it.... Hope this can help.
i need a 15" and my horse is a 14.2 hand arabian. what size to get?
Best Answer: We got this for 9yo daughter 18 months ago. Our arabian is about the same height but not super slight of build like some. The saddle fits fits her and my daughter great. We had to add extra holes to the stirrup leathers for her. We immediately changed out the bit & cinch-cheap. The bridle is starting to show wear. The top finish is starting to wear off/crack. For the price, I would buy the set again. I am a average female adult & the 15" saddle is too small for me.
Does the saddle come with a saddle pad?
Best Answer: The set we purchased 2 years ago still looks very good. I purchased two for my daughters who show only in 4 h shows and do not ride every day. It does not come with a pad nor does it come with rubbers for the iron stirrups. the girth is also not a great one, so plan on buying saddle pad, iron pads and a good girth. Even at that , the set is a good value and holds up well.
I need a saddle for jumping. Is this a good jumper saddle?
Best Answer: This is an all-purpose jumping saddle, great for beginners.
If i had a 15.3 hh Thoroughbred what size would i get?
Best Answer: It depends on what size you the rider needs. As for all saddles once you get the size you need ie 15". Then You need to check the fit on the horse.
how to i find my saddle size with out a saddle?
Best Answer: Use this information to help determine your seat size:
***These are general guidelines, they do not guarantee the fit*** Upper Leg Length Seat Size Up to 16 1/2" 15" seat Up to 18 1/2" 16" seat Up to 20" 16 1/2" seat Up to 21 1/2" 17" seat Up to 23" 17 1/2" seat Up to 23" 18" seat
do the irons have stirrup pads?
Best Answer: the set i ordered did ship with pads , I was surprised as i did not expect them and ordered a set that i did not need, but when working with horses a back up set is always good.
Does this work on a "beefy" horse?
Best Answer: I have used this saddle on a Quarter Horse and it fit rather well, I have also put this saddle on my friend's Percheron cross mare she was on the "beefy" side and it was an OK fit it was on the small side and we needed a bigger girth as the one that came with it was too small. I may not recommend this saddle for that for a horse of that side because it was not a proper fit for a horse of that size. However if you plan to ride a beefy Quarter Horse or breed that tends to have a wider back and deeper girth like the Standardbred then this is a good saddle just have to change the girth.
is this leather real? and would it be okay on arabians?
Best Answer: Not sure if it will fit your horse or not, only you can answer that question. Second, I actually purchased 3 of these packages and for the cost they are great. I have had mine for 3+ years, one I use on a regular basis and the other two I use when I show. The only thing I bought extra were girths, but I did that so I had the proper fitting girth for my horse. Real leather, maybe but it's not the highest quality leather - I didn't expect it to be considering the price of the package. To sum it up, I am pleased with these saddle packages as it meet my expectations.
I am 14 and I am 5'9 with really long legs . I am worried that the flaps will not be long enough. Do u think the flaps will be long enough ?
Best Answer: Flap Length: 16"
I have long legs. Will the flaps be long enough ?
Best Answer: Bought this product a year ago it is my absolute favorite Sable for a cheap one! Due to your long legs...depending what size you get you should be fine. My friend uses my saddle and she has longs legs never seemed to bother her and she jumps in it all the time. Mines and 16 I'm only 5ft tall she's about 5'6
will this saddle and girth fit a 14.5 to 15 hand paso fino and me standing about 5'3 to 5'4?
Best Answer: The saddle will fit. I got it for my 16-17 hand TB and it fits her great... The girth on the other hand is crap you'll probably have to buy one that will fit
does this set come with a saddle pad, do the irons come with stirrup pads, and are the reins split or full?
Best Answer: The package includes the saddle, 4 1/2" stirrup irons, 1" x 54" stirrup leathers, a 48" web girth and a horse-size snaffle bridle complete with 5/8" x 54" reins and 5" bit. Accessories styles and sizes may vary. so the irons may or may not come with pads. English reins are not split.
Will this saddle and girth fit a 15.2 hand quarter horse??
Best Answer: IN general I would say it should......but there are many variables to saddle fit (wither height, gullet width, etc) Girth size will depend on barrel type as billets on a 15 in saddle tend to be on the short side. My suggestion is to call sustomer service and talk with them about your horse's confirmation before making a rock solid decision. But again, in general I would say it should fit and the girth will probably need to be on the long side if you have a round barrelled horse!
what does the kit come with?
Best Answer: Bridle, caveson, reins, bit, saddle, stirrup leathers, stirrups and a girth. Great saddle for the price.
I am new and I would like to known how to determine the size of the saddle?
Best Answer: When you see a saddle size of "18 inches" That 18 inches is obtained by measuring from the silver nail on the front (pommel) to the middle of the back of the seat (the cantle).
If you are trying to find a rider's size seat a good rule of thumb is to measure from hip to knee. That should be a fairly good estimate. Others things to consider when buying a saddle is the height of the pommel (if your horse has high withers you want a high pommel) and width of the gullets. The width should be wider for very broad horses or drafts. Hopes this helps!
will this saddle fit my saddlebred?
Best Answer: If you know anything at all about saddle fit you certainly know that every individual horse has a different width and shape of back and that there is no such thing as a universal saddle. If your horse usually goes in a medium tree then i would say it is fairly true to size, perhaps slightly narrow.
what size would you but for a 15 hands quarter horse and a person being 5'9????
Best Answer: The seat size is to fit you the saddle itself should fit any horse but proper fit for both you and the horse is key. I would try out saddles of similar brand to see what fits best. I have had this saddle on a 15h quarter horse myself and it fit her very well girth was too small so I would suggest a good girth the one that comes with this saddle is one that would not be my first choice. I hope this helps :)
Deos the girth have D rings?
Best Answer: No it doesn't. I had to buy a different girth as the one that came with the set wasn't long enough for my horse.
where was it made ?
Best Answer: This saddle is manufactured in India.
Does it come in a wide tree?
Best Answer: This saddle is available in the seat sizes / corresponding gullet sizes below:
14" / 6½" 15" / 6¾" 16" / 6¾" 17" / 7" 18" / 7¼"
I have a 15hh Rocky Mountain do you think it would fit him?
what size should I get if I have a fifteen hands quarter horse. and myself being 5'9 and about 125lbs??
what size would I get for a 15 hands quarter horse and me being 5'9????
Should I order a 17 seat if I am a western seat of 16?
Best Answer: Remember this is a general guide – the size, weight and height of the rider combined will affect how different saddles feel based on their design. Western saddle measurements are 2" smaller than English or Aussie measurements. Example, a Western 15" saddle equates to a 17" English or Aussie saddle.
