How do you know what size to get?
Sandra on Mar 16, 2014
Best Answer: When trying to find the right "fit", sit in an English saddle at the local tack shop. Place your hand, fingers together and palm flat, behind you on the back of the saddle right where your butt stops and you feel leather. There should be one hand's with in that space, to the top of the cantle (back). If there is too little or too much, go to the next size up or down. I hope this helps you out. Good Luck :)

What kind of bit does the package include?
A shopper on Aug 11, 2015
Best Answer: The bit that came with the package was a snaffle bit with D rings. I bought the set for my granddaughter to learn to ride English and to use in training her horse. it has worked very well and she has placed in competition with it.

i need a 15" and my horse is a 14.2 hand arabian. what size to get?
A shopper on Mar 26, 2015
Best Answer: We got this for 9yo daughter 18 months ago. Our arabian is about the same height but not super slight of build like some. The saddle fits fits her and my daughter great. We had to add extra holes to the stirrup leathers for her. We immediately changed out the bit & cinch-cheap. The bridle is starting to show wear. The top finish is starting to wear off/crack. For the price, I would buy the set again. I am a average female adult & the 15" saddle is too small for me.

Does the saddle come with a saddle pad?
louise k on Oct 6, 2014
Best Answer: The set we purchased 2 years ago still looks very good. I purchased two for my daughters who show only in 4 h shows and do not ride every day. It does not come with a pad nor does it come with rubbers for the iron stirrups. the girth is also not a great one, so plan on buying saddle pad, iron pads and a good girth. Even at that , the set is a good value and holds up well.

If i had a 15.3 hh Thoroughbred what size would i get?
Lizzy P on Feb 16, 2014
Best Answer: It depends on what size you the rider needs. As for all saddles once you get the size you need ie 15". Then You need to check the fit on the horse.

do the irons have stirrup pads?
A shopper on Mar 30, 2015
Best Answer: the set i ordered did ship with pads , I was surprised as i did not expect them and ordered a set that i did not need, but when working with horses a back up set is always good.

Does this work on a "beefy" horse?
Dolores M on Feb 6, 2015
Best Answer: I have used this saddle on a Quarter Horse and it fit rather well, I have also put this saddle on my friend's Percheron cross mare she was on the "beefy" side and it was an OK fit it was on the small side and we needed a bigger girth as the one that came with it was too small. I may not recommend this saddle for that for a horse of that side because it was not a proper fit for a horse of that size. However if you plan to ride a beefy Quarter Horse or breed that tends to have a wider back and deeper girth like the Standardbred then this is a good saddle just have to change the girth.

is this leather real? and would it be okay on arabians?
A shopper on Dec 31, 2014
Best Answer: Not sure if it will fit your horse or not, only you can answer that question. Second, I actually purchased 3 of these packages and for the cost they are great. I have had mine for 3+ years, one I use on a regular basis and the other two I use when I show. The only thing I bought extra were girths, but I did that so I had the proper fitting girth for my horse. Real leather, maybe but it's not the highest quality leather - I didn't expect it to be considering the price of the package. To sum it up, I am pleased with these saddle packages as it meet my expectations.

I have long legs. Will the flaps be long enough ?
A shopper on Aug 18, 2015
Best Answer: Bought this product a year ago it is my absolute favorite Sable for a cheap one! Due to your long legs...depending what size you get you should be fine. My friend uses my saddle and she has longs legs never seemed to bother her and she jumps in it all the time. Mines and 16 I'm only 5ft tall she's about 5'6

will this saddle and girth fit a 14.5 to 15 hand paso fino and me standing about 5'3 to 5'4?
A shopper on May 29, 2015
Best Answer: The saddle will fit. I got it for my 16-17 hand TB and it fits her great... The girth on the other hand is crap you'll probably have to buy one that will fit

Will this saddle and girth fit a 15.2 hand quarter horse??
horserider on Nov 27, 2014
Best Answer: IN general I would say it should......but there are many variables to saddle fit (wither height, gullet width, etc) Girth size will depend on barrel type as billets on a 15 in saddle tend to be on the short side. My suggestion is to call sustomer service and talk with them about your horse's confirmation before making a rock solid decision. But again, in general I would say it should fit and the girth will probably need to be on the long side if you have a round barrelled horse!

I am new and I would like to known how to determine the size of the saddle?
Lolosb on Jun 22, 2014
Best Answer: When you see a saddle size of "18 inches" That 18 inches is obtained by measuring from the silver nail on the front (pommel) to the middle of the back of the seat (the cantle).
If you are trying to find a rider's size seat a good rule of thumb is to measure from hip to knee. That should be a fairly good estimate.
Others things to consider when buying a saddle is the height of the pommel (if your horse has high withers you want a high pommel) and width of the gullets. The width should be wider for very broad horses or drafts.
Hopes this helps!

what size would you but for a 15 hands quarter horse and a person being 5'9????
Gabby on Apr 3, 2015
Best Answer: The seat size is to fit you the saddle itself should fit any horse but proper fit for both you and the horse is key. I would try out saddles of similar brand to see what fits best. I have had this saddle on a 15h quarter horse myself and it fit her very well girth was too small so I would suggest a good girth the one that comes with this saddle is one that would not be my first choice. I hope this helps :)

Should I order a 17 seat if I am a western seat of 16?
A shopper on Nov 28, 2014
Best Answer: Remember this is a general guide – the size, weight and height of the rider combined will affect how different saddles feel based on their design. Western saddle measurements are 2" smaller than English or Aussie measurements. Example, a Western 15" saddle equates to a 17" English or Aussie saddle.
