Rated 5 out of 5 by I love these! I have been using these reins for almost a year now and they are great!I took off the braided reins that came with my bridle and put these on instead; they are perfect, soft and supple, and easy to hang onto. I don't remember them ever being stiff, but if they were ever were they aren't now! I recently bought a really nice western bridle and I'm getting another pair of these to use because I don't like split reins. I initially bought these because I had seen rubber reins at a horse show and really liked them, but they were over $100.00, so I didn't get them. I can honestly say these ones are just as nice as those were!If you are hesitating, just take the plunge, you won't regret it! I would say anyone would benefit by just have a set of these on hand. They are SOOO worth the money! October 30, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by GREAT They work great, hold up, repel sweat, very grippy. Very stiff when you first get them but they break in. I just wish they were longer. October 13, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love Them! I looove these reins! And EVERYONE who uses them says 'I love your reins!' Really great! September 25, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Meh..:/ Well they worked GREAT for the first three weeks. Then they started to come apart. The leather is crap. And then yesterday they broke. My horse accidently stepped on them and put slight pressure and snap goes the reins. Save your money and buy better ones. September 16, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great purchase! For the price of these, I wasn't expecting much. However, I'm totally in love with them. The grip on them works great, and the length of them are perfect. Now it's not as easy for my gelding to pull a fast one of me and take them out of my hands! August 23, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Wow these must be great i ordered them and they are backorered! they must be really popular! July 18, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome! Never thought Rubber would be so good! When I bought them I didn't expect much considering they were rubber and cheap. When I tried them out with my horse we both loved them. It has a great grip and it's long enough for those days when your horse is pulling for more rein! I will be getting another pair of these soon. Rated 4 out of 5 by Leather is crap, but rubber is Great! Got these for X-Mas and love them, especially for riding in the snow or rain, because unlike my leather reins that tend to get a little slippery, these are nice and grippy! February 10, 2012

Exactly what I wanted.

These reins are easy on the hands and for the price are durable. This is my second pair. The first ones purchased 3 years ago are becoming soft and spongy where the hands continually grip
Gwen C on Apr 13, 2015
Love these as they offer better grip when riding

Do these reins have hand grips?
W I on Jun 23, 2014
Best Answer: Yes, they have rubber reins and are sufficiently grippy BUT they are cheap leather and the leather twists. I also got a pair with no keeper and so had to use a rubber band to keep it buckled. I would not get these for competition, but for just a cheap extra pair they are ok
