Hangs on the fence or a stall door, nice to have at the paddock tacking up
Jan L on Aug 23, 2015
This is extremely helpful at horse shows and easy to pack. It even works on the side of my trailer.

Can you tell me how long the back of this rack is, or essentially how tall it is? I saw that it was 22" long.

Thanks!
Rachel E on Apr 25, 2014
Best Answer: Hi Rachel,

I'd estimate about 8". It hangs just a little below horizontal on my narrow-width stall door, but it's sturdy & well made & does the job! Hope that helps!

Does this rack fold down?
A shopper on Apr 11, 2015
Best Answer: It does not fold down. However, it is easy to lift off and remove if you have it hanging from a board or stall partition. Mine are all simply "slid" over a 2" x 8" board and lift off easily to be stored out of the way if needed.

Is the area between the hooks and the downward bar on the T big enough to hang off the backseat of a car to have a trunk saddle rack?
KaelaP on Jan 26, 2016
Best Answer: The area between the hooks and the T is about 4". In my barn, it's currently hanging off a 2" x 6" and it's pretty sloppy. It would hang level off a 4" x 6" or so. You could hang if off the back of a seat if the seat back doesn't have too much curve to it and you don't mind compressing the cushion. IF the cushion isn't too thick. Depends on the car.

What is the material? Steel or aluminum?
Joan P on Oct 21, 2014
Best Answer: The material is steel with a thick painted coating. Very sturdy without being too heavy.

Is this rack long enough for a Western saddle? I purchased another style and the arm was too short. Thanks.
J H on Mar 30, 2014
Best Answer: Since all saddles are different I cannot say if it will fit your saddle. What I can say is the rack is 22 inches long. Measure your saddle to determine the length so you can judge whether it will fit. This is a sturdy saddle rack and a great buy for the price!

What is the distance between the 2 hooks. AND... the piece hanging down on the T? Is it open? Could a bar be inserted into it?
A shopper on Jan 3, 2015
Best Answer: About 8 inches between bars/hooks and yes you could insert a bar up the bottom of the T
