Could you use this feeder in the paddock or is it for inside use only?
A B on Feb 10, 2014
Best Answer: I wouldn't see why not, my mare is really hard on hay bags! And hers is still going strong, they almost have a water proof feel to them so I would think they could hold up just fine out side :)hope that helps!!

Does a lot of hay fall out when in the bag when a horse is eating? - Thanks
Maggie C on Jul 16, 2015
Best Answer: I have several of these and the answer to your question is no, at least not with any of my three horses. Make sure you hang it high enough so they cannot eat out of the top of the bag. They should only be able to get to the hay through the nylon grill. Hope this helps!

How quickly do you think an aggressive eater would rip up the mesh? - Thanks
Maggie C on Jul 17, 2015
Best Answer: Well, we've only used this at one horse show, but it came out unscathed ... I would say, not very quickly. Our mare is an aggressive eater. This is why we bought the bag with the mesh. it is a large bag and I would buy it again.
