Product Summary:

Professional's Choice SMB II Boots
Made from limestone-based neoprene, the Sports Medicine Boots II (SMB II®) are the longest lasting boots available on the market today. Limestone neoprene is shown to resist aging caused by exposure to the elements, such as direct sunlight, moisture, and dirt better than petroleum based neoprene.

Also, the SMB II is the only boot on the market with an antimicrobial inner-lining to prevent skin diseases, such as scratches.

SMB II's were designed to absorb a portion of the energy generated as the hoof impacts the ground. The more energy absorbed, the less energy available to deform and injure the soft tissues of the limb. SMB II's provide the highest proven levels of shock absorption, and help to prevent injuries associated with hyperextension of the fetlock.

Scientific testing at Oklahoma State University showed that the SMB II absorbs up to 45% of hoof concussion energy on some horses. Eight times more than traditional bandages!

Innovation in materials and design of the SMB II can be credited for the higher levels of shock absorption. This means your horse will experience less negative stress while training, competing and maintaining a daily routine. And, if your horse has been injured or is rehabilitating from bowed tendons or suspensory ligament pulls, wearing the SMB II's during exercise will help speed the healing process. Plus, the Sports Medicine Boots II get better with age. According to the scientific testing, actual use of the SMB II enhances its fit, function, and shock absorbing ability. SMB II's award-winning protection keeps your horse comfortable so you can concentrate on performance.

Sold in pairs.

Best thing I ever purchased, 7/21/2010
Katelyn from

I bought these boots about 7 years ago when i first began training my mare. In the beginning they where difficult to put on, but once they mold to the leg they are as easy as pie. I ride about 5 times a week and always use the boots and they still aren't worn out. I hightly recommend these.

Amazing Product!!, 7/18/2010
Carley from

I love these boots. I purchased these boots around 7 years ago. To this very day they are still keeping my 13 year old geldings legs protected. I'll admit they are starting to wear out, but its to be expected after such a long period of time. We compete in barrel races and gaming shows and i know tons of people who are as impressed with this boot as i am ( : just an overall awesome boot (:

For Pacing Horse Owners!!, 6/22/2010
StandardbredGirl from

i have a standardbreed-pacer, and i use them on him. Ive had my boots for goin on 4 years now, and just recently the velcro came off of the lower strap on one leg and i was afraid that it may come off when i was riding, so i bought a pair of small, plastic ones to ride him with. I was practicing one night and he had been triping some with me while riding, and wheni got off of him i realized that the boots didnt have very good coverage of his legs and coming out of a turn he had clipped himself with his back foot. i switched back to my SMB's and i automatically saw a difference!! i love them(:

Great Boot!, 4/24/2010
Gayle Johnson from

I bought a pair of these boots as my colt started his training under saddle. The footing in my arena is sand and I didn't want him to pull a tendon. These boots not only fit well, they flex with ease. They are a little difficult to put on when new as the 3 velcro straps want to stick to EVERYTHING. However I would and have, bought several more pair for my other horses. Highly recommended!

Great fitting and long lasting!, 3/11/2010
Jayne Ellingotn from

I purchased these boots about 5 years ago for my mare and they still work great to this day! I have used them on trails, in parades and trailering her! If it wasn't for these, my horse would have been lame backing out our trailer! She hit her leg hard on her boot and it prevented ALOT of damage!

Great All Around Boot, 10/8/2009
Nikki from Bland, MO

These boots are a little hard to get just right on the horse, however they are great. I bought the large for my Percheron and they fit great however they did tear when we were making a tight turn in the show ring her hoof scraped on the back sets and ripped a chunck out of them without any effort but I still use them and have since I bought them and her.

Slightly disappointed, 2/23/2009
Julie from Warrenton, VA

Ive have these boots for several years and I still use them however the velcro strap on one of the boots did tear shortly after receiving them. I was disappointed considering the price but I am still able to use them even though one strap is slightly torn.

LOVE Them!!, 1/11/2009
from Washington

I love these boots! I put them on my barrel horses and they dont turn or shift with hard running! Very easy to put on compared to Classic Equine sport boots and they keep dirt out better too! I love how they fit back and front legs so you can switch up your colors for fun :) They clean up very well in the wash and after a few uses they shape to your horses legs! They dont loose their shape in the wash either! They hold up forever and the velcros dont wear out easily!

not quality, 9/23/2008
Ann from Lake Almanor, CA

My new horse came with a pair of these boots that worked great but were very worn. I decided to spoil him a new set for the front and back. The new ones lasted less than 2 months. The velcro shredded apart! The neoprene looks like new but the velcro fell apart in a matter of weeks. I am so dissapointed in the quality.

Very good product, 8/13/2008
from WI

I bought these boots for my horse because he had problems with his legs. He never wanted to do much cantering let alone running. Once I started to ride him in these boots everthing changed...he now is begging to run and canter when I ride him and it takes the force of off his legs. I would recomend these boots. I have used them for over a year just about everyday and they are still just like new!

good boot, 6/25/2008
from Kansas

I bought a pair of these boots for my horse, they are kind of difficult to put on with the 3 velcros. but overall they get the job done, not a money waster, just be sure to put them on correctly, for i have witnessed a bowed tendon with incorret use of these boots.

A++++, 7/7/2007
Megan from Austin, TX

These boots are the best. They provide my horse with very good leg support, especially now that the arena is very deep and his legs need more protection. They hold up really well. I use them every day and they are still nice.
