Why did you choose this?
Is it 42 wide or 52 wide?
Best Answer: They are usually 52 wide.
I recently saw one that looked a bit larger in height than the one shown. Do they come in different heights?
Best Answer: what latching system is uded or recommended ? are eye hooks and snaps sturdy enough to keep hate shut?
does it come with mounting hardware?
Best Answer: Yes. The two pins on the gate come with washers and nuts and the gate comes with two plates that that pins can slide into. The plates have 4 mounting holes each. You will need to supply your own screws/bolts to mount the plate to the stall.
What latching system is used for this gate? and is it included? and /or what is recommended and will it be sturdy enough to contain a horse trhat leans on a gate
Best Answer: hey chrissy L I have 2 of these gates that contain 2 large boys .one in particular is very hard on things and the gate has held up very well. The gates are easy to hang and to latch them closed i used an eye screw and then a double ended ( bass holds up the best) slide clip that is about 4 inches long.I simply attach to the eye screw and then a part of the gate.I also used a small piece of a 2x4 block of wood at the bottom of the gate to sit on so the weight sits on the blocks and takes the weight off the hinges.one of my gates has been up for 6 years with no repairs needed. If this doesn't make sense i can send pictures.Good luck with your gate i love mine
Will this gate fit in a 52 inch opening or does the opening need to be wider to accommodate mounting hardware?
Best Answer: You don't need to worry too much about the opening because it should swing in and just use an eye hook w K-i th a double ended snap to latch so the gate may overlap the opening but just attach snap to anywhere on the gate (think adjustable)
What size is the rough opening to install this gate?
Best Answer: It fits perfectly on a standard 48" stall opening. Mount hinges inside stall on the stall post so that the gate frame bumps against the inside face of the post and the opposite side of the frame will rest against the opposite side post. The hinges are 2 1/2" wide, so this works nicely on a 4 x 4" stall post. Since my beasts are minis I just used a length of soft nylon rope to fasten the gate closed. One end is tied to the ring that was mounted on the inside of the post on the opening side and a safety snap is on the outside of the post.. I run the rope under a strong bit of gate frame, then snap to the outside ring. It holds up well, even with the old quarter horse leaning on it from the outside to steal the minis hay. And the minis can finally see what is going on in the world. I have had this gate about a year and a half now and have been very satisfied.
What size rough opening do I need for this gate...to install it?

When will the black gates be back in stock?
Best Answer: Unfortunately, the manufacturer has not yet provided an estimated in stock date for the black gates.
Does this gate mount inside to fit a 4' opening?
Best Answer: It was slightly large for our 4 ft opening, but we attached it a couple of inches to the side and had the door open to the outside (safer anyway) so it has worked out great. I'm plenty happy with this door.
Is there any way to ship these faster?
Best Answer: Unfortunately, no. This item requires a 1-2 week processing time because the gates are manufactured in the manufacturer's warehouse as orders are received.
