I have two gelding which have lost dramatic weight before winter. My quarter horse is usually very solid and my pinto is one of the hardest keepers out there. Cool Calories made their coats very shiny,soft and thick for these temperatures but weight wise i have see very little improvement. I can still see their rips and hips. They are getting fed 2 scoops of senior a day with a scoop of hay stretcher in the a.m. and p.m. and 24/7 hay. I believe this really just depends on the horse itself. My horses ate it very well and it smells great. Everyone who has a skinny horse is who is willing to put money into them... try it. It may work it may not. Im now moving onto a different supplement. Wish me luck.

The only thing this product did was make my horse shiney. It did not work for it's intended purpose to help him gain weight. It did NOTHING for his weight.

I noticed a difference in my horses overall appearance in a matter of two weeks. My horse "Betsy" shines like a copper penny, and she has really muscled out into that "cow horse" look. This adds the calories to their diet and doesnt make them to frisky. my mare is running a whole second faster in the barrel pattern

I bought this to help put some weight on my horse. I had been comparing and reading reviews on a lot of products and went with this one as it is cheaper than most and had pretty good reviews. This didn't do too much to help my horse gain weight. On the other hand he ate it right up and it did make him really shiny. His coat shines like glass.

I will not feed BHT to any of my animals (it's proven to cause cancer). It was not listed on the ingred. They need to show the back of the product so we know EVERYTHING in the ingred. list.

I WILL NOT feed anything preserved with BHT (it's proven to cause cancer). I wish they had the ingred. listed or at the very least, the back of the product pictured so you can read the ingredients. Now to ship it back.

On top of putting on weight, my gelding is now stepping on his tail, his mane has grown 3 inches and he no longer needs back shoes. Love this product!

I've had my 5 year old appendix gelding for 4 months now, and his weight has been a struggle. He eats everything up but wasn't gaining. I tried multiple other products including SuperGain and Weight Builder and saw no difference. I added Cool Calories to his diet and he starting putting the weight on within a week. He's on 4oz a day and gobbles up his grain. He's been on it for a month now and is looking great! There is a difference in his coat, mane and tail, and hooves now too. Now I'm not nervous about heading into the winter, and I feel like I can work him a healthy amount and he won't waste away. 5 Stars! Wonderful Product!!

I just bought this product , and am trying it on my new appendix QH. He was on the light side when I got him, and it is almost winter. He needs to have more weight on him and be able to stay a calm horse for riding. I am hoping this will do the trick. It sounds good. One of my horses is a TB and she is a fat and easy keeper and will eat anything in grain, but does make faces while eating this. The Appendic QH gelding , he makes faces too, and dumps the grain out and roots it around on the ground, like he does not like the taste. I have to stand and keep him on lead to eat most of it.

I got this when I rescued my ex race horse California Dreamin' (thats her new name) and when Igot her she was sooo skinny. You could see her ribs (ect) I started giving this to her and she's gained so much weight. she get 3 scoops a day (3000 calories) Morning, Afternoon, Evening. This is the greatest buy EVER for its price and it works :) WORTH IT!!!!

I have 4 horses on my property, 2 of which are TB. They both eat 4 ounces of this a day and keep weight on and look amazing. I also have my 13 year-old mare on this, she is my lesson horse and my go to of everything. After starting her on cool calories she is in the best shape and looks better then when I got her. I strongly recommend this product to everyone! It works great and it is at a great price!

We rescued 2 abused TB's, 10 & 24 yrs. One was severely underweight. The other was considerably thin, but in better shape than his buddy. We gave them unlimited access to pasture, alfalfa, and clean water. We rotated wormers, supplemented senior feeds with oils, vitamins, mash, and beet pellets. We spent thousands of dollars over several months, following vet's advice on how to get them back to healthy flesh without showing much gain. We are facing a hard winter in the mountains. I had already spent so much money that I figured why not try just one more product. In ONE month, our thin boy looked almost normal and our severe boy started filling out beautifully! Now, 5 months later, you cannot tell they were starved! Both have a sprakle in their eyes that we have never seen before. Their coats shine and their hooves are stronger. We are hoping to have them ready for work by the Spring. AND we have eliminated the other oils, supplements, and mash from their diets...SAVING money and time! Pound for Pound, this is worth GOLD! They love the banana scent too. Highly recommend for hard keepers.

I have 2 thoroughbreds who can be hard keepers. They are both in training and work hard. Cool calories is a great product to help put on weight without making them 'hot'. It is easy to feed and even the picky horse likes it!

I used this product for a young, extremely active, gaited gelding that couldn't achieve a polished looking weight. Within a week I could tell a difference. He now, after a month on the product, is at a perfect weight. Great product that met my expectations!

As the owner of an EPSM-positive Percheron, having Cool Calories 100 available for the fat source instead of messy oil is a blessing. She loves the taste and eats allll her beet pulp now.

This is the second winter I have used this product. I have a quarter horse and a thoroughbred who can be hard keepers come winter time. Cool Calories is the BEST and only weight supplement I use. You can start out with a small dose and work your way up if needed. The wonderful thing about it is you will know if they are getting too much because it will actually shed out of their coat!! Then you just decrease the dose. I start it about two weeks before winter is to start and it helps them maintain their weight throughout even the harshest winter. Give this product a chance, you will LOVE it.

I purchased Cool 100 for my two old horses because the only other weight builder that my local store carried was out of stock. It was my lucky day. I am very satisfied with the product. I add it to their senior feed and I can see results after only 1 month. I will stick with this product.

I use this on my 38 year old gelding, who has no teeth, and other health issues that make it hard for him to gain weight. Using the CoOl Calories allowed me to decrease the amount of grain I was feeding him each day, which helps to decrease his risk for colic and founder. I am definitely a repeat buyer of this product.

my mare had lost a lot of weight over the winter so i was told to try this and it works!! she has gained it all back, with out getting "hot". i had put her on weight builder when i got her and that stuff made her very "hot", she became dangerous. this stuff really works, and i was surprised, i didn't have any results from different stuff.

This is the best weight builder I have ever used. Highly recommended. Especially helped my old man to fill out after some winter weight loss, without making him "hot". His coat turned out very nicely too. Great smell, easy to use, doesn't end up untouched at the bottom of the tub.

This product worked very well for my horse. I used it to put some weight back on my mare and it worked very well. Good value for the price. It smelled great and my horse liked the taste. I just added a scoop to her sweet feed and she gobbled it right down. She is looking much healther, has put on weight and has a shiny coat. I will definately purchase again.

A feed rep. recommended this product to help my throughobred that cribs & is pushed out of the hay in the field, to gain weight. In 2 months, there was a definite in his coat & his weight gain, 70 lbs.! Finally a product that does what it claims @ a great price!!!
