TEMP FENCE FOR RIDING AREA

Is the length 4 feet less the part that goes in the ground or total length?
A shopper on Oct 29, 2015
Best Answer: The total length is 47 inches. The part that goes in the ground is 9 inches. So once installed it has a height of 38 inches. If there is a hot wire run along the top the horses are very respectful of it. However, I wouldn't trust it for permanent containment. I use mine to divide pastures or pens when I want to keep horses separated. Hope this helps.

How far apart do you set these step in posts using the 2" tape?
A shopper on May 2, 2015
Best Answer: I set them from 8 to 12 feet apart. However, at the corners I drive in a t-post to anchor the line. Then the step-ins just support the tape at the desired height, but really do not handle the tension on a tight tape. I slip a 1-1/2 inch diameter PVC tube over the t-post and then use a round t-post cap that is made for 2" tape. That works and is more attractive than the rusty green metal post. I hope this helps. Sorry for the delay in answering -- my computer has been cranky and I miss a lot of emails.
