Good value, 10/29/2011

Not super sensitive, but you can hear the heartbeat (on the vein), gut sounds (at the flank) and lungs (right behind the elbow) of the horse. I was glad to get it to have in my horse first aid kit, it has a nice long "tube" so you don't have to get right up on the animal, good value, but not perfect.

Great for horse owners or Pro Vets!, 7/6/2011

I am studying to become a vet and i took the chance with this stethoscope because it was only $6! It comes in 3 pieces that easily attach together; the head piece, chest piece, and the tube that connects them. I find that it would be easier if it was a little longer, but it works fine. My horse did not like it very much, but she stood long enough for me to check her pulse! Works great for dogs, cats, etc. too!
