Product Summary:

Strongid® C™  Daily Feed Pelleted Wormer
by Zoetis, formerly Pfizer

Strongid® C™ (1.06% Pyrantel Tartrate) is a continuous daily wormer that controls a variety of large and small strongyles, pinworms and ascarids. Palatable alfalfa/molasses pellets that are safe for all ages. Fed as a top dress or mixed into grain, it’s great for horses that won’t stand for paste wormers. Each 25 lb. pail will provide 100 days of prevention for a 1,000 lb. horse. Safe for all horses, including pregnant mares, foals and stallions.

Item Specifications:

Ingredients
:
Dehydrated Alfalfa Meal, Wheat Middlings, Ground Corn, Cane Molasses, Mineral Oil, preserved with propionic acid

Mixing and Feeding Directions:
Strongid C is to be administered on a continuous basis either as a top-dress or mixed in the horse’s daily grain ration at the rate of 1.2 mg pyrantel tartrate per lb. of body weight daily. To achieve this dose, administer 1 oz. of Strongid C per 250 lbs. of body weight per day (4 oz. per day for a 1,000 lb. horse). (A Strongid C measuring cup is enclosed.) Strongid C should be administered for the entire period that the animal is at risk to internal parasites. Unprotected animals that have grazed may already have an established S. vulgaris larval infestation. Before administering Strongid C, these animals should be treated with a therapeutic dose of a larvicidal product. Foals may be administered Strongid C as soon as consistent intake of grain mix is occurring. This is generally between 2-3 months of age. Strongid C may be used in mares at any stage of pregnancy or lactation. Stallion fertility is not affected by the use of Strongid C.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Strongid C all the way!!! I ordered this after many years of fighting my horses every 2-3 months with worming. My horses took to it very easy and I'm very happy with it! Forever a daily dewormer user^.^ August 16, 2010
Rated 4 out of 5 by Ten Horses Today was the first time we have tried the Strongid C. It was introduced to us by a friend. He recommended it due to the fact that we have so many horses and how hard it is on us (retired folk) to paste worm them all. We have a few out of the bunch that fight us every time we worm them. This is fantastic. What a huge help to us. We love our horses and want to show them that we do. We also like that it is safe for pregnant mares. We have 2 that are pregnant. I am myself, am going to give Strongid C a HIGH FIVE!!! March 26, 2010
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great broductn I love this product becuase lets just say i bout 1 wormer for 15 horses ones a month with a price of $9 to $18 a pop thats over $225 a month. And with some horses it is so easy but one horse i have flips his noodle but this is easy all i do is mix it with his food. And they love it. I save so much money i buy 3 a month wich is $140 instead of $225. TRY IT YOU'LL LUVE IT. March 13, 2010
Rated 4 out of 5 by creates resistance This product provides a continuous low dose of anthelmintic to parasites, who gradually become resistant to pyrantel! This is the best way to create anthelmintic resistance in your horses and pastures! Horses must receive the correct dose for their body weight to kill the parasites that are there (does not include inhibited states). If you have any questions, ask your vet! May 20, 2009
