Wondering how this halter held up? I have quarterhorses and a paint that love to play halter and my gelding's last halter was chewed off of him.

Best Answer: Our current boarding stable leaves halters on, in case of escapes, and my mare has been turned out all winter wearing this one. She is turned out with a buddy, so I'm sure there's some rough housing going on in the paddock. She blew through the first new leather halter we bought her (a cheaper one from a different company) in about two weeks. While this one's do for a good cleaning, it's held up great! It's been through snow, rain, freezing temps, and mud in the last six months without showing any stretching. The buckles and snaps are in good shape, and haven't had any breakage. My mare has also shown minimal rubbing due to this halter, and she tends to be rather thin skinned as a registered TB.

Does this halter come with a lead or is it just the halter?
Haley S on Jun 15, 2015
Best Answer: I don't know if there is a matching lead but one was not included in the price of the halters I purchased.
