I got these to use as single leg picket hobbles. . .they are perfect for that. I just cut the links to the swivel, with a bolt cutter. The swivel comes in handy on the overhead tie picket rope. It keeps the horses from getting all wound up. These also have no padding, which is good. The padding always gets dirty and is like sandpaper to the skin. only and inch and 1/2 wide doubled strong and nice to use.

good strong training hobbles. great for allowing your horse to walk too. mine have figured out how to lope in them by now, when they have them on. these are not standing hobbles. they will not break in case your horse does happen to panic during hobble training them and they dont harm the leg or hoof in the process. (and when horses panic, they usually do not fall, they just get upset and stumble a bit, until they figure them out) very much worth it for the price. glad i purchased several of these. lots of uses: training hobbles, trail hobbles when you dont want to tie up, it allows them to walk and eat so they stay close and cant run from you, it stops pawing habits, many uses..very sturdy and the best for comfort for my horses that i have found. i have tried the rope hobbles, the nylon and other leather ones..these i like the best and they have the best price for the quality.
