Rated 5 out of 5 by Good Product I bought this for my OTTB who needed to put on a lot of weight when I bought him. Its bulky under my leg, but once you get used to it, no big deal. Now that he's filled out I'll be spending the money on getting a new girth. Also came in handy when the surcingle I picked up from a friend was too small for him. =) The leather is not as thick as what comes on my girth or saddle, was easy to condition and break in. Not too sure how much wear and tear it would be able to withstand in the long run. March 21, 2012

Why did you choose this? Store
horse got fat over summer and it's cold and current girth doesn't quite reach.

Seemed the better of the 2 options, roller buckles and elastic as opposed to just leather. Won't be used alot so should last forever.

does it come with a certain size or do u get to pick?

Best Answer: As far as i know it only comes in one size, but it has multiple holes in it that aloow you to extend and English girth from about 3" to 10" linger than it would be normally. I have a horse that holds its breath when i place the saddle on her in such a way where the buckles wont even touch the billet straps. With the girth extender I can get the ends to meet and buckle it. Then I can take it off when she lets her air out because the buckles and straps meet.
