I bought this blanket for my pregnant mare right before we had more than a week of ice storms. This blanket has not been off my mare more than a few hours a days since I bought it. It is keeping her dry, warm and has no rips. My mare is hard on blankets, but this blanket is holding strong against her. In fact I just ordered two turn out sheets, one for my mare and one for my gelding because of how good this blanket has held up.

I had my doubts when buying this blanket, merely because I had not purchased this brand before... so you never know if it is indeed what it claims to be, but it had some good reviews, so I gave it a try. I am here to tell you that it lives up to everything it claims! I have a horse that stands out in the rain rather than under shelter, I think because he hates the noise on the metal roof. We just had 4" of rain in the last 24 hours, which here in Southern CA is almost unheard of. It rained horizontal because of the 30 mph winds, it hailed... it was crazy, and my horse was out in it most of the time. Except for the rain dripping down his neck onto his shoulder area, he was dry and warm with this blanket on. And once he was out of the rain long enough his shoulders dried off!! I LOVE THIS BLANKET!!!! I highly recommend it. I bought the medium weight and it is almost too warm for him!! If the temp is in the 60's he gets sweaty underneath it.

I love this blanket and bought a second. It is the only blanket I have tried (and I have tried many) that does not slide back causing it to be too tight across the chest and shoulders on my Missouri Fox Trotter . He has an expensive baker that is ok. This Tough1 is a quality blanket with snap front closures , ample room in the chest/shoulders but does not gape at the neck and has an excellent price. Both my horses stayed dry and warm during our latest wet snowfall!

I have a 5 year old paint rescue who has a narrow chest, but is over 16 hands, and a very large/long build. I have bought expensive blankets but none last or fit him. They always go over to one side so I am constantly adjusting his blanket. This blanket fits perfectly! I have not had to adjust it one time in the past month. No issues with rain getting under the blanket either.

I had pretty high expectations of this blanket, considering 2 years ago I bought a Tough-1 zebra print. Although this blanket was on backorder when I bought it, it came in surprisingly fast! The tracking number was a nice bonus, so I could make sure I was home, just in case mailman came by. My daughter's Arab/Paint gelding, at a mere age of 26, MUST have a heavy blanket every winter. I ran to the barn, pulled his old blanket and he looked concerned. Tossed his new H.Green Tough-1 on, and his body temp felt great! He relaxed, nodded his head and sighed. He was nearly asleep by the time it was fitted, lol. Chester definitely approves of his new blanket and so do I! Even with my high expectations, I was NOT disappointed! I love the quick clips on the front closure and the sizes fit great! Blanket is waterproof perfection! Now I don't have to worry about turning the old guy out; with his new blanket, not a problem. I love the high neck, high chest on these Tough-1's. They fit Chester's thinner neck great; and also fit my Paso Finos' thick full necks...great prices, fast shpping +track, super warm, waterproof, look great, easy to use, can it get any better? Now, the rain can come, the cold can continue (lately 10-18* overnight) because Chester, myself and my daughter are FINALLY happy!

My previous blanket lasted almost 5 years on my mare. This one came in with a tear on the shoulder after only the second time she wore it. Same pasture same pasture mate. It looks like a flaw in the material. I do like the way it fits but there also isn't anywhere to hook the belly straps when you take it off so they drag on the ground. I am very disappointed with the quality of the material.

The blankets are a good weight and the horses seemed comfy in 0 degree wind-chill temps. (My horses are not clipped; turn-out with shelter 24/7.)
The topline of this rug is straight, and creates a little air pocket along the backbone. I am hoping this is good since it should allow the hair to fluff and insulate the back in that space.
Last night and today, we had rain. As I feared, the water runs under the neck collar and their shoulders under the high neck are soaked, as is the lining.
They feel dry beyond the shoulder seam, but I don't like that the lining is now wet.
There needs to be one more adjustable tab on the neckline of this blanket to make it fit a variety of neck and shoulder sizes a little better.
Adding a hoodie to this moderately priced blanket sort of defeats the value, and may make it too hot for days mild enough for the precip to be rain instead of snow.
Overall, however, I feel this blanket is a great value. Just needs some tweeks.

I am extremely happy with this product. My horses stayed warm and dry in 4 degree windchill this past week. No rubbing or gaps on 15.2 appendix QH, 15.1 Sporthorse and 14.3 19 yo QH. I brushed mud and debri from the blankets and they look great(def won't have to wash after every use...nice!) 5 y.o. QH gelding loves to nip at the mares...these blankets show no evidence! Even after he used them as chew toys. I'll definitely buy this brand again!

I have 6 of these blankets and this is their third winter in use and are in perfect condition. They have held up just as well as the more expensive ones. These blankets fit well and are easy to secure. Highly recommend this blanket.

I had good success with the HorseLogik rug several years ago and liked many of the features. Since that specific line doesn't appear to be available any longer, I searched for another moderately priced rug and selected this one.
I purchased two rugs on New Year's Day and received them 3 days later. (and Monday was a holiday)
I like that all the attachments are stitched THROUGH the rug, not just attached to the lining.
I like the adjustability of the chest area and the use of clasps rather than buckles across the chest opening. This is an important feature that should be included in the description
The hardware is ok, but I do not like the tiny clasps on the front or the leg straps. I have replaced them with larger, scissor-snap style brass fittings. Anyone who has tried to change out a blanket with icy fingers knows what I'm talking about.
On my big-chested paint mare, I AM concerned that rain will run down her shoulders and into the blanket lining. The neck area is good for grazing, but with her head up, it looks like the shoulders could become soaked.
Of course, this week we are having much warmer than average weather and precipitation, so I can't report on that yet.
My horses are turned out 24/7 with a run-in. But do they use it in bad weather? Nooooooo.
Had to size down for the TB mare and have reordered. Will report after actual use.

I've had several horse blankets, but this one is the best. It fits my horse well, stays on, and doesn't slide off of her withers. I wish I had found this long ago, and would have saved hundreds of dollars spent on blankets that don't fit and I don't use!

I bought this blanket for my 3YO thoroughbred. My boy is 15'3 and still pretty narrow chested and a 78 fits him perfect! The new clip front design is awesome and he has plenty to grow and fill out in it. This is a quality and durable blanket. The price is extremely reasonable for the awesome product you get. I would recommend it to everyone!

EXCELLENT quality, keeps my horse super warm, high neck, superior buckles and fasteners. SO MANY EXTRAS. My horse has destroyed three blankets this year, I bought this one and it has SURVIVED! :):) Best blanket for the price, thanks for carrying this!

We love the product except for two items. One, we hate that it is made in China. Can't we find any sewing shops in the USA? And two, it would be great to have somewhere to attach the belly straps when removing the blanket so we are not walking on them. Otherwise, a fantastic product for our horses.

We bought this for our rescued American Mammoth Jackstock Jenny, who was skin and bones when we rescued her. She has stayed warm and dry with this turn out coat and it is holding up extremely well. I am very happy with this product and recommend it highly

We have a barn full of these blankets. For the price, they hold up as well as the blankets at twice the price. Lots of good details.

I got this sheet to keep my mare dry and mud-free during the rainy seasons. It works well for the mud, but when it rains, she is soaked. Then it takes two or three days for the sheet to dry out enough to use again--by then, she is a mud ball. Plus, it ripped at the shoulder seam after about two months, though she can be tough on turnouts.
Spend a little more and get a better quality turnout.
