Product Summary:

Available in several vibrant colors, this sheet is great for that sudden rain shower at the show, camping, trail riding, or just out in the pasture.
  • 420 denier poly - Light Material Strength-Not Recommended for horses that bite, chew or rub on blankets or for horses turned out with a companion or in a group. Material may tear or rip if caught on a nail, rough fencing or thorns from bushes.
  • No fill - provides wind and rain protection
  • 70 Denier Poly Lining - Prevents rubbing and helps to keep the coat shiny while preventing hair, shavings, and straw from sticking to the inside of the blanket.
  • Waterproof - coated outer shell with taped seams and seamless spine repels water to keep your horse dry.
  • Breathable - Designed to allow moisture vapor to wick away from the horse and preventing sweating while retaining body heat and repelling outside coldness.

  • Tail Cover -provides additional protection from moisture near tail bone.

  • Measuring Instructions - Stand your horse as square as possible, measure from the center of chest around side of the body to the point of the horse's rump just before the tail. If you horse ends up measuring between sizes always round up to the next size to ensure full coverage.
  • Washing Instructions - Machine wash with cold water – Gentle cycle with mild detergent. Air Dry or Machine Dry/No Heat
  • Horses Turned Outside without Shelter - Turnout Sheet and Blanket materials are waterproof and designed to keep your horse dry, however if your horse is turned out in a field without a run in shed or shelter during prolonged rain or heavy downpours your horse may still get wet especially in the neck and tail areas.
  • When using a blanket or sheet it is critical to monitor the fluctuating climate and temperatures even with a blanket that is waterproof and breathable. The wicking properties of a breathable blanket are designed to wick away normal body heat, when a blanket is too heavy the heat and moisture cannot be wicked away fast enough causing your horse to sweat. The temperature and the length of your horse’s coat will determine what weight of blanket you should use. For this reason, most people who choose to blanket horses have several articles of horse clothing that offer varying levels of warmth.

  • When selecting a blanket ensure to take into account your horse’s behavior, environment or other horses that may be turned out with your horse. The lower the denier number the less strength the material has. 420 Denier and 600 Denier are not recommended for horses that bite, chew or rub on blankets or for horses turned out with a companion or in a group. Always ensure your horse’s blanket is properly fitted and all straps are adjusted correctly, if a blanket is too tight or too loose, straps may break and material may tear.  For younger horses or horses turned out with a companion or in groups, it is recommended to purchase 1200 Denier or 1680 Denier material as these are stronger materials and are less likely to tear. Certain types of fencing such as barbwire or foreign objects such as nails will easily tear any blanket no matter what the denier, always inspect the area in which your horse is kept to remove any nails or jagged fencing that may cause damage. There are no horse blankets that are guaranteed to not rip or tear.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Not waterproof!! Great for a show sheet or blanket liner, but this sheet is NOT waterproof. Even the dew went throug it and my mare was cold and damp. November 12, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by nice wind blockers and water RESISTANT not water p I bought 4 of these for my horses and they do very well at keeping them warm on the windy days, they stay on very well, and I have not had a problem with ripping, but they are NOT water proof! If it is snowing or raining they will keep your horse dry for a few hours so TURN OUT then back into a stall is great! BUT if you have pastured horses you are trying to keep dry and warmer this is NOT the blanket for you! They DO get wet and soak through! And once your horse is wet with a wet blanket on them they will become MORE cold than if they have no blanket at if you need something for rainy or snowy days out in the pasture(for horses that live out to pasture) you will need something a little more than this. Like I said they are GREAT for blocking wind! Kept mine very toasty even with being so light weight! And even going up in the trees I have not had problems with tearing...just the water "PROOF" is ONLY RESISTANT to water... October 30, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Waste of money The Tough 1 sheet is so thin and cheap, don't waste your money. October 29, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by NOT WATERPROOF THESE ARE NOT WATERPROOF! 6 brand new ones one rain storm they were soaked through in an hour. spend extra money and get ones that work!! October 26, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not waterproof Didn't need much in the way of warmth, just something to keep her dry. Her coat will keep her warm as long as she is not wet. Well, she would have been better off without a blanket because she was soaked to the skin UNDER the blanket. It is now relegated to being just a "keep clean" blanket in dry weather. October 25, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Cheap! Leg strap snap broke first night of wearing. Definitely not well made. Will spend more money in future on a better product. October 22, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Worst Ever I really liked the hot pink for deer season if the damn thing wasn't so poorly made. Leg strap ripped off so I threw it in the wash in prep for repairs. It completely fell apart. Wish the manufacturer would refund the dissatisfied customers. October 15, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Don't waste your money on this. It's cheap, flimsy material, doesn't fit right, and isn't waterproof. After a night of rain, I took this off of my mare and she was wet from rain. Trust me, spend the extra $30 and get a nice blanket. October 13, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by JUST PLAIN CHEAP !! Belly strap ripped on 2nd day. Worn by a small gelding, well used to managing a blanket as he is prone to hives. Spend an extra $30 and get a good one. Come on Stateline, we deserve better. May 12, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by HORRIBLE It ripped the first day I put it on my horse! The material is so cheap you could almost tear it with your fingernail. Save your money and the stress and spend more on a better blanket. May 4, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Extra pink! I got this in hot pick and its so pink you can see it from space! Love that. I can spot my filly out in the filed from 500 yards! I'm please with how its made and have had no issues with the quality. However my filly isn't real hard on her clothes. It fits her well and she looks great in hot neon pink, plus it was quite the bargain. February 28, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by not very "tough" mine ripped 3rd day......spend the extra cash and get a better quality one February 7, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Horrible... This blanket IS NOT waterproof or good for any of the things listed above. I found out the hard way. If it snows or rains my QH mare gets wet every time. There is a reason why it's cheap and offers free shipping.... February 3, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by THIS BLANKET IT GREAT!!! We have two horses and this is our first winter with them. They are very playful but also like to kick. We bought this sheet for my moms horse who had never lived outside. The blanket has been through so much already and still looks brand new!! It does have one little rip but other then that it has been the best one we have bought so far!!! January 13, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by AWFUL I liked the color, but that is about all i liked. it is extremely thin and not at all waterproof. it fits way to big (my TB is a 77and i got a 78) and it so bright it scared the other horses. Go for the other ones that are more expensive, i got a defender and my horse who has never worn a blanket loves it and gets mad when you take it off. do not waste your money on these. December 27, 2011
Rated 3 out of 5 by not waterproof i got this for my mare to keep her dry and the first day it rained she was soaked to the took two days for the blanket itself to dry out.its a nice sheet for keeping her clean and keeping the wind off but thats it. December 9, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by HORRIBLE!!!!!!!! This sheet is FAR from waterproof! My horse was SOAKED! PLUS the wind goes right through it! DON'T even bother spending the MONEY! IT may be CHEAP because It is exactly that! CHEAP!!!!! December 4, 2011
Rated 2 out of 5 by NOT WATERPROOF I have this in lime, purple & navy. The colors are fun, hardware is good, however they are NOT waterproof & completely overpriced. My horse simply laid down in the grass and was wet clear through. When it rained & it rains alot here they were soaked! These are an overpriced stable sheet suitable for trailering or keeping horse clean in stall. NOT for outside use. I'm very disappointed. November 26, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Sheet I am happy with this product. I bought it for my TB mare, she wears it pretty much 24/7 out in a field with mud and trees and it could get torn, knock on would I have had it since september on her her, and it has been perfect. She will wear it for fall and spring and a heavier one for winter!! November 23, 2011
Rated 2 out of 5 by A waste of money I bought 2 of these turnout sheets. The first time my walking horse wore it, it ripped back by the tail. My thoroughbred wore hers three times before it ripped - in the same place. I won't be buying these anymore. November 22, 2011

What size does a horse usually wear?
A shopper on Sep 29, 2013
Best Answer: It all depends on the size of the horse. You would have to measure your horse to determine the size.
Basically, all equine blankets and sheets have similar designs. They cover your horse's barrel from withers to tail and hang to just below the elbows and stifles. However, not all blankets or sheets are cut in the same manner. As such, check the manufacturer's measuring guidelines to ensure the best fit of your chosen blanket or sheet.

Regardless of the manufacturer's recommendations, however, there are some simple ways to ensure you obtain the correct measurements of your horse. If possible, corral a companion or tie up your horse to help keep her still while you measure her. Then:

#1 Ensure your horse stands squarely in a natural position. How to Measure Your Horse for Dress Sheets, Insect Sheets, and Turnout Blankets
#2 Stand on your horse's left with the end of your measuring tape in your left hand. Place the end of the measuring tape at the point where your horse's neck meets the center of her chest.
#3 Using your right hand, draw the tape along her left side and over the widest part of her shoulder. Continue to draw the tape in this manner for the extent of your reach.
#4 Note the measurement. Then mark the spot of your reach with your right thumb. Move down to the spot you've marked with your thumb. Place the end of the measuring tape at this point.
#5 Using your right hand, continue to draw the tape along your horse's side and across the point of her buttocks, which is the hindmost part of the quarters and about 10 to 12 inches below where the tail and body meet. Note this measurement.
#6 Add your two measurements together to get your blanket size.

My horse is a size 78.

Would this work to keep rain/light snow and wind out? Also would it work for 20-30 degrees?
Rachel W on Nov 13, 2015
Best Answer: It's perfect for below freezing conditions in Alabama seems to hold some body heat in without the horse sweating I'm not sure about northern conditions but would guess it would work well. I do know it is well made. we have used blankets for 30 years and these are good ones.

is this a medium weight blanket?
Emily G on Aug 17, 2015
Best Answer: No - this is a turnout sheet, not a blanket. It has no fill/insulation. It is a good wind and rain cover, or a good top layer over other horse clothing.

is it light weight ?
A shopper on Dec 7, 2014
Best Answer: Yes. This is both lightweight strength material at 420 denier for the outer layer, and also lightweight because it is a turnout sheet with no insulating fill.
