I chose this because it was available in a 24 inch size for smaller horses. I think the width is a little too narrow. The design is such that it grips the horse. This is both good and bad. Make sure it is adjusted properly because as it is snugged up it doesn't slide along the horse very well.

Im buying a saddle and want to get a cinch but dont know what to buy to hook it to the saddle or if i need anything else like a strap for the back ?
patricia G on Dec 30, 2014
Best Answer: This is the right cinch if you are using a western saddle. Saddles usually come with the straps to connect to the cinch. You'll buckle it on the shorter side in the hole that's most appropriate and then bring the cinch under the belly to the other side, feed the longer strap through the cinch buckle, you make have to do this twice and fasten it into the most appropriate hole, leaving it loose and tightening it slowly. If your straps don't have holes in then then you need to do a loop around the dee ring and tighten it that way. Good luck!

how do I hook the cinch to the saddle ? Do you sell what I need ?
patricia G on Dec 30, 2014
Best Answer: The near side attaches by a tie strap or latigo, and the off side by an off billet. We do carry both items.
