i bought this product for my pony i should say my almost "mini". the back tab tore off and now it has a GIANT hole it form one week of use. very upset, luckily i was able to sew the hole back up so it can still be used.
other than that it was a good looking bag and is easy to fill and hang.

I bought one for each of my mares. Within 6 hours both had been destroyed beyond repair. Same as other problems listed. Front torn out, bottom tab ripped out, back ripped open...Not so tough!

Used with a 24yr. old Quarter Horse. Did not even last for one feeding, the back was ripped in half and the bottom tab was ripped off. Wish I could get my $ back! Very angry! :( Deserves zero stars.

I was surprised to read other reviews about the poor quality of these hay bags. I have four of these I've been using daily for about nine months now and they have no holes or tears or any real signs of wear at all. I've hosed mud off them a couple times and that's it for maintenance. I use them in the stalls and in my trailer for every feed. I'm actually ordering more today because I like to have my hay weighed, packed and ready for a couple days ahead to save time on those early morning feedings before work and these have been the most convenient type I have tried so far. The size is perfect for three flakes, they load easy, carry east and waste has been virtually eliminated. I do hang mine from 2x6 cross braces in the stall walls so the strap has a large surface area to loop around as opposed to a small metal eye-bolt I see a lot of other people use- perhaps that has helped enhance the durability for me? In any event I've been very pleased with mine so far, I would encourage you to give one a try.

do not purchase these hay bags.
they do not last. my horses had the hardware torn off in 3 days.
i am returning 2 that i bought for camping. i can't return the torn up ones because it has been longer than 5 days since purchase. i would have thought that horse.com would have stood behind this product. i had to press one star so that this review would be accepted.

Premium Hay bag from Oceanside, Ca.
These bags are just adequate for my horses. I dont like the short hanger, the ribbon trim falls apart and it starts to ravel, the size is also a little small. I had LOVED the HORSE.COM hay bags that you used ot carry. they were perfect, 5 star!

I bought four of these bags for my 4-horse trailer. The trim on the front opening fell apart and the material frayed until the opening was so big that the hay falls out on the floor where the horses can't reach it. The lining material also disintegrated. This bag is made of inferior material and doesn't stand up to the purpose for which it is marketed. I would not recommend.

These haybags are durable and last for several years. They are good for portion control especially when you are away and are good for mixing two types of hay. If overstuffed, the horse or animal has to work to get the hay out and keeps most of the hay off the ground mud, muck etc.

Ive had trouble with this design. The grommets on the bottom all popped out and now I have torn fabric and holes. The design and durability of the bottom is disappointing. Bring back the other ones you carried.

This product is a really smart idea because very often horses will get a leg or nose or something caught in a regular hay net. This haynet is safe, affordable and smart. It can also be used for trailers as well.
