Is the purple color shiny like the small preview or like the red and blue shown?
Moira on Jan 20, 2014
Best Answer: I'm sorry but I don't quite understand what you mean by 'shiny'. The cooler was fleece. A flat color but a very nice shade of purple. We bought 3 of them as prizes for a breast cancer awareness horse show. We had pink air brush put on them. I hope that helped.

Is this a good choice to have under the tough-1 250g turnout blanket?
A shopper on Oct 29, 2014
Best Answer: These are a nice moisture-wicking cooler for more temperate climates. Depending on the size of your horse, the neck runs a little large, so shoulders aren't covered as well, but overall slippage isn't too bad. They hold up reasonably well for an inexpensive blanket; I wouldn't recommend use under a turnout long term or unsupervised, due to no back leg straps.

Do they slide from side to side under a blanket and Do they fit true to size or run bigger or smaller?
Jenny K on Mar 24, 2014
Best Answer: I have only used this as a cooler after riding. I have not put this under a blanket. I have three different sizes for three different horses. The fit is perfect. The fleece was a better quality than I was expecting. I would purchase this again!

is this warm enough for winter and what size would a 69in blanket be?
tailor m on Nov 24, 2013
Best Answer: It depends on what you using it with, if you ride and put it on afterwards to cool your horse off and absorb sweat it is great....but you have to remove the wet blanket before you put a warmer one on....you can also put it underneath a turnout blanket or stall blanket..to keep your horse warmer, there are endless possibilities.....as ita 69 inches long, from breast buckle to butt, most likely small horse or big poney.for example I have 72 in for a 15.3 horse and it is ample...:-)

Does this cooler have leg straps?
Sam C on Jul 22, 2015
Best Answer: It does not have leg straps. It has the underbelly strap and an undertail laces that can be tied together. Because it is fleece it really stays close to the body therefore doesn't move around too much. I really like it! It works well!

what size should I get for a 14'1 stocky horse?
A shopper on Nov 13, 2014
Best Answer: The sizes each have inches listed next to them, covering the length of the horse from shoulder to tail. My horse usually wears a 78, and her large fits her comfortably, and is a bit big. So you'll probably want a small or medium. check other blankets the pony wears and see where they're at.

if need a size 78 excersise fleece would that be a small medium or large? is an exercise fleece the same as a turn out fleece?
Melanie K on Nov 30, 2015
Best Answer: A size 78 would be considered on the low end of Large. Exercise fleeces usually cover just the horse's hindquarters and sides. Fleece would not be recommended for turnout since it is not waterproof.

My horse wears a 76". Should I get the medium or large?
sarah m on Nov 29, 2015
Best Answer: My quarter horse wore a 75, and i orderd according to the sizing and found that it was slugjtly too small and wish i had ordered the next size up. I am now using that cooler on my Haflinger and he wears a 72 blanket and it fits great.
