I need a saddle bag for my saddle to put on airplanes in the baggage compartment. This bag sounds a little lite duty for this Any comments?
Jerry B on Nov 28, 2015
Best Answer: Its a good storage bag and good cover . Carries well, But has no padding I personally would not use it for a carrying bag that would be handled by others in a situation where the saddle could get scuffed up just because it has no padding. If your not worried about scuffs and don't feel they would throw stuff on top of it which might damage the saddle " say break the tree"Yes it would be a good bag, I would trust it I have 4 of them and they have held up very good.

would this work on the saddle that is stored on a saddle rack?
Tammy M on Dec 7, 2015
Best Answer: Yes. I bought it to put on my ranch saddle to keep dust off of it but it doesn't fit due to the flank cinch and breast collar. It is NOT lined so do not recommend for a nice saddle you are worried about scuffing the leather.

Does this saddle carrier completely cover/zip around the saddle? Can you then put it on a saddle fully covered for storage?
Alison B on Sep 30, 2014
Best Answer: I have two of these covers, for each of my two custom western saddles. They do zip all the way around except for the top under the shoulder strap and fully cover both of my saddles. They are lightweight material and probably wouldn't hold up with a lot of carrying, but I pretty much only use mine for winter storage and some light transport. I hope this helps.

Some people who purchased this saddle carrier said that it would not fit their 15" saddle very well at all then others said it fit their 17" saddle perfectly. I'm confused - are the folks who left these comments all talking about the same bag?
Sheryl A on Feb 13, 2014
Best Answer: I have a 15" and a 16" saddle. I found that my 15" definetly has alot of room in the bag and I really dont like all the extra room. For my 16" I love the way it fits. I did find that when I bought both of my bags was that they were not exactly the same. One had a more heavy duty zipper while the other didnt. I hope this helps.

Does this carrier protect well from mold?
Jessalyn P on Aug 12, 2014
Best Answer: I love my carrier! Protects well from dust & pests, fairly easy to remove & cover. I live in Lubbock, TX which has a very dry climate, so I can't really speak to protection from mold. We just don't really have mold here...unless it's a consistent water source. I have had friends who used silica packets to help regulate humidity in their saddle bags, maybe that would help?

How moisture resistant is this bag?
Katie B on Oct 27, 2013
Best Answer: I have used mine cover in a tackbox so it hasn't been exposed to rain/the elements, but has kept my saddle well protected and dust free inside my tack area.
