Why did you choose this?

Keeps your dressing room clean or cleaner and if you are at a show keeps your hay from being ALL OVER. If you keep the hay strings tied and the bag closed, it makes for a good seat. Highly recommend. Might look at the hay bag with wheels next time.

I am short on space until my new stalls are completed. Now I can keep a bale of hay in the bag in the corner of the shelter to feed out of. And later I will store blankets and pads inside.

Does this hay lay on flat with strings on top and bottom or is hay on ends with string on the sides?
Harvey G on Aug 25, 2014
Best Answer: The bag is zippered around 3 sides to lay flat, while you put the bale of hay into the bag. The strings would then be wrapped around the bale, but you can easily cut the strings once you have inserted the bale. I store the bag zipped, and on end, not on the side, for space reasons. I then unzip one end and what is now down one side as far as necessary to get the hay out. The handles wrap around the middle, and are great if you are traveling. Once I get half way through a bale, I find it easier to dump the hay into a large garbage can and use from there, but that is just personal preference. I like the bag for travel and barn use, it helps keep the hay contained, rather than scattered all over the floor. Reduces my horses' temptation to nibble as we pass by in the aisle.

Is this hay bag waterproof?
abbie on Mar 11, 2014
Best Answer: It is water repellent not proof.. Standing water will seap through after long exposure to rain. After a shower it is fine.
This bag is made for a smaller 2 wire bale.. Not the 3 wire bale.
