are these good quality?
A shopper on Nov 21, 2015
Best Answer: They are very good quality. We have a couple of different colors of them and have gotten lots of use out of them. They are a little on the shorter side, which is not a bad thing, since you don't have lots of excess to deal with.

I wanted to buy these for trail riding but I was wondering if they are horse size reins I ride a 15 hand horse and are they comfortable in your hands? cause the horse loves to try to eat the grass so I have a hard time pulling her head up with regular reins thanks.

Best Answer: I actually bought two and took an end off each. My gelding is an ex stud and very strong. I couldn't get a continuous rein to work but these I loop around in a knot and even onto the horn. I leave some slack when lunging but he knows he cant eat. He also carries his head too high and these are nice and heavy. If I have to hold onto for a long time I leave on horn and use the halter lead I always have on him for tieing.

Best Answer: The leather part is called a slobber strap, and they do sell them, though they are a different brand.
