training a mustang that took weeks just to get near his head, months to remove his halter & put a new one on. less stress when time comes to bridle him, since bit can be left off at first.

I am truly hoping this will fit my quart horse. I like the idea of the bit and bridle combo and have used them in the past a long time ago. They come in very handy on long trail rides. I also prefer to let my horse eat a bite when I am also taking a break from riding along the trail and this allows my horse to do so without eating under the bridle.

I have a really nice leather halter bridle but my horse doesn't always trailer well so I wanted something that was easily replaceable.

wanted an easy to care for halter/bridle combo for trail riding in turquoise.

I need to know what size would this fit up to? would it fit a horse that takes a large horse halter?
A shopper on Oct 17, 2014
Best Answer: It is possible, but I am not certain. The horse I purchased it has a relatively average size head and this was a bit big on the smallest holes, so I would it it should expand up just fine. Good luck!

Does this bridle come with reins?
A shopper on Aug 13, 2015
Best Answer: No, they do not come with reins. We use snap reins with them and either use the snap reins as lead rope or can quickly remove them and use regular leads as needed. Very handy bridles.

Does the snap on bit come with the halter/headstall?
Charley on Jul 21, 2016
Best Answer: If I'm understanding your question properly, then no, no bit comes with the halter combo. Just the snaps themselves. I will warn that if you have a large headed breed of horse (mine is Tennessee Walking horse) that the fit is tight under the throat. I had to make an extra hole to accommodate mine. But I love this halter! Use it all the time. It's so convenient.

is the hardware plated or stainless?
A shopper on Nov 3, 2014
Best Answer: Hi. This was bought for me as a gift. I actually am not sure but I believe it is plated. It is an awesome halter. I absolutely love it. It is very durable and easy to use with my arthritic hands.

My horse has smaller head. It sounds like this halter runs on the large side. Will it fit smaller horses or is there a better trail halter for smaller heads?
Les H on Apr 15, 2016
Best Answer: It would be good as long as you are using a bit. I bought it an can't use mine cause I ride in a hackamore an where his head is small the hackamore hangs off the tip of his nose.

I guess I am apparently the only one confused by this but how do u put the bit on
Am I missing something?
Ctybob57 on Apr 3, 2016
Best Answer: Hi there! I'm going to try to explain this as best I can! On the halter there are two d-rings under the left and right side buckles for adjusting the halter to furniture horses head. There should be an item clasped onto each of those rings, or items included with your bridle. Those are what the bit attach to. On the opposite ends of those clasps should be a buckle that you buckle the bit into.

Would this fit a smaller Clydesdale that uses an oversized bridle?
A shopper on Aug 19, 2016
Best Answer: It just might. Not sure how big a small Clydesdale is in comparison to a regular horse, though. I bought this for my 15h Arabian and it was too big.

Is there an option to purchase additional clips for the bit? Have a new bit to try and prefer not to have to keep switching back and forth if I can help it.
Katelyn K on Apr 22, 2016
Best Answer: It would be very easy to get a piece made if there is. Ot one for sale

Do you think this would fit a 14h pony that I usually use cob or smaller on? She does have a long face!!!
A shopper on Apr 18, 2016
Best Answer: This fit our TWH perfectly. She has a long face. However this doesn't fit our QH. Too big. Love it though. Great halter for the price!!! Just wish we could use it with our QH that my daughter is now riding.
